Really glad he made this documentary for it explains so much stuff. I always wondered WHY he never became the player if not better with the Knicks because he was an absolute beast in Chicago who gave Shaq problems on more than one occasion. The driver situation was so messed up but I am glad he explained that too because the papers/media had people with me included believing that he liked men. So sorry for his losses regarding his relatives and close friends. On this road called Life we learn as we go but so important to not repeat our mistakes and keep God first in ALL things. Brother Curry I pray blessings for you and family. The power of prayer works! Amen

Thank You for sharing your story. This happened to me going up in the Bronx. Friends n family change over money, that type of stuff will ruin relationships. People say get over it. Yeah when you get money and see the foulness in your closest people. You won’t trust them anymore! I got over it but I don’t associate with them anymore. I’ll just roll by myself. Also departmentalization is very important.

I remember watching Eddy Curry on Preps in 2000-2001, the video at 0:49 is from the Preps TV documentary show. It's interesting that pretty much his ENTIRE basketball/life journey is documented on video from the time he was 17 or 18 and one of the top basketball players in the country all the way to the present day 20 years later!! With everything that has happened to Eddy Curry through the years, it's good to see that his parents are still together/healthy and his son Noah(Nova's son ) as a teenager. Eddy talked about a friend signing his name as a beneficiary on Eddy's life insurance policy, in Preps he was real close with 2 other basketball players, one played at Dunbar then Wyoming, the other played at Morgan Park then Missouri, I hope it wasn't one of those guys who did that, they APPEARED to have a close bond with Eddy.

@Bill Blass Shortly before seeing this video, I saw another feature on Eddy Curry(it may have been Yahoo) and he gave more details, E.Curry claimed that he gave an envelope to his friend to drop in the mail, instead of mailing it right away, the friend opened the letter, saw it was a life insurance policy, signed his name as a beneficiary and then mailed it. E.Curry got a call from his lawyer or accountant asking him about his friend being listed as a beneficiary!! Eddy Curry is lucky that his agent/lawyer called him because that friend may have tried to kill Eddy Curry to collect on that life insurance at some point in the future, if the friend became desperate enough.

He sounds like such a humble, down to earth person - not really like any celebrity. I find the backstory so interesting and telling - so sad to hear about his daughter and her mother. Sounds like he had a lot of money hungry people around him who felt entitled to what he had earned. His wife is amazing, she sure took her wedding vows real serious. God bless her, she’s far less selfless than me ❤️
