Being a KGFian, Having such a rich legacy behind us, the government is still keeping us under developing town as of now.. *From getting First Railway connection to the same single line to nearest junction hub. *To the first x-ray machine for mines hospital to gettin a well renowned hospital for all * To building more career for many in the past to a most literate town with more daily travelers to banglore for work. We are still struggling!! * with new news of reviving the gold mine again to the same old news of settlement of old mining employee.... The story just goes on and on...

I am from KGF. There still thousands of people who once worked in BGML still living in KGF along with their families. The officers quarters are still being occupied by their families. There are a few areas which still remind the English architecture. The BGML hospital (at Champions Reif) opened during the Britishes time was renovated during COVID to manage & treat the COVID patients.
