@@macariusfreestyle8521 Market is adjusting so fast (unfortunately up this week). I find twitter as a good place to search. Just search for Pokemon 151 Japanese and those deals account should point you to the right direction. My local shop gave it to me at 45 (with shrink wrap) a couple of weeks ago (cash deal). This week, price is pending at 55-60 on next order he is getting. Does not hurt to search local offers if you are in a major city. Have fun! =)

Use to be like this I collect all psa 10 slabs and BB…missed out on so many evolving skies BB at 300-350, fusion strike at 105 etc..lugia psa 10 at 200. Gengar vmax alt art at 325….just pull the trigger don’t over think it

When it comes to 'investing' it's always best to take the emotion out of it. Pokemon is inherently emotional so instead of overthinking come up with a plan or a set of rules and stick to it. For me, since about Vivid Voltage, I buy at least 4 cases of every set. Then If I can get any case under about $560 I buy more. I usually stay away from specialty sets only b/c ETBs are huge compared to BB. So far so good. But the over analysis usually comes from not having a plan that you stick to no matte what.

Great points. Where I struggle with this will be with buy it now with best offer psa slabs. Sometimes the buy it now price is the best on the market but I still put in a lower offer only to have someone snag it out from under me. If the deal is good and you know you want it, Just buy it.

The start of this was spot on- people had no issue spending hundreds on shit like the charizard UPC… and tens of thousands of dollars on shitty graded charizards… but when a box of 151 is $60 people are scared. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE

This is the best video and I hope it gets a lot of view time becuse people need to hear this for a reality check. The problem is people that are jumping on the investment train are too overstimulated by every content creator now being an “investment expert”. These people can’t make a decision because they want someone to do the speculating for them, however when they don’t get answers they want or need to hear they just glitch out. There is risk averse and then there is whatever the fk this is 😂.

ygo is way worse to invest in. ygo in the last year made a big change by reprinting the biggest old school sets. nowadays ygo might even be more attractive to invest in than poke. ygo LODT & RP01 reprints are coming. listen to my words, we‘ll talk in 5 years

Hey man, I think you should do a video on how alot of you tubers try to cause a panic with everyone, and make click baity/disingenuous videos with the whole market crash thing. At the moment there is alot of videos about the "alternate art crash" and most of them show how the cards have dropped a little in the last month. But they fail to show the last year, and the fact that they have risen so quickly that it is just a market stabilising. All the eeveelution alt arts are a perfect example including the premium box promos. I just find it so annoying how they say you've lost 10% of your money if you bought 2 weeks ago.. 🤣🤣 Or if you don't sell now you could be looking at a loss down the track... Even though almost every product is on the upward trend if you look at yearly highs and lows. Anyways sorry long comment great content as always mate, keep up the good energy always gives me something to watch after-work. Peace from Australia 💯

I think Temporal and paldea evolved are the two bests sets in SV released. I planed on buying 3 cases but paid a 2k medical bill today :/. Fml. Hopefully, in 2 months the price is still good or close.... wouldn't mind 110 per box at that time. Good luck!

Contrary to all these poke investor channels investing in cases of sealed products is niche. Alot of people can't rationalize paying £600 for a case of children's cardboard. Even though we know it works long term. My friendships groups can't understand my 'rationale' for pokemon card investing. They choose gold and crypto. My point is generally the collectors that want this product for sealed can't afford it and the people that can, can't rationalize it over other investments.

My point is; people with high levels of disposable cash that perhaps collect pokemon still choose to invest in other alternative assets. It's hard for a lot of people in the hobby to rationale spending large figures on sealed pokemon products. I'm not speaking for everyone with disposable income but a lot of people I know. A lot of people that collect pokemon that are early 90s generally collect and invest in other things such as gold, watches etc. they will research the hell out of the pokemon market and never pull the trigger because of 'rationale'. That's what I hear a lot anyway

Alex, love the videos. I am someone who is scared and terrified of taxes. I have been accumulated about 7 thousand dollars in sealed product and about 400 dollars in loose cards. I started buy in February of 2020 and never stopped. Pokemon is about 20 percent of my portfolio. I never got a resellers license and never sold a single thing. I'm in no rush to sell ..ever. BUT, I AM SCARED to sell. I always want to change my pokemon portfolio (and keep it in Pokemon), but IF* it's like stocks, every time i change my cards/product, i will be taxed. Same reason i hold some stocks I don't want....i fear to be taxed into something similar depleting small gainz. Thank you. Anyone please chime in and help me!!! Thx!

I would recommend setting it up as a business even if you are not going to be doing much and then ask your accountant about cash basis accounting. This will greatly help with tax implications of moving in and out of positions!

This logic makes sense for a small purchase of a card that you like.. If you are trying to drop $10k on a product it makes a huge difference getting it at 10-20% cheaper. The gains multiply. Then you roll it into your next purchase that you get 10-20% cheaper. The deal shopper ends up way ahead

SV is moving just fine. You can wait for a reprint but people are loving the modern. Are you gonna regret not DCA’ing while you have the chance, buy some now, buy some if it reprints? There’s plenty of good Sv sets, the chase cards are harder to pull than ever, they are flying!

One of the biggest lessons I learned from the business world is the worst decision you can make is indecision. Sure you're gonna make some bad decisions, but you'll never make gains without risk. People on here and reddit and other groups poopoo me saying I'm buying TM and TF because they're not good sets. But to me I believe they are good sets and I buy every chance I have. Guess what? I'll end up ahead.
