This is the "great coaching effect". Dan Quinn has seriously put together a talented and deep coaching staff (much like a roster needs depth the same goes for the coaching staff in the event one or more end up getting poached from other teams. DQ learned his lesson from losing Kyle Shanahan while being the HC in Atlanta... And look at what happened to the Eagle's when they lost both Shane Stichen and Jonathan Gannon. They've been a mess!). The coaching is getting the absolute most out of the roster. Just wait until they get a new round of another off-season FA/draft class and the team is in year 2 of the "recalibration". They'll be even better! Yes the league will have more film on JD5 and all but I feel like JD5 is just scratching the surface here!
As a football fan of neither of these two teams, because I'm a Giants fan of more than 50 years, Jayden is clearly the better QB at this time. ( Coaching aside, Caleb did absolutely nothing for 3 qtrs) * Jayden has less weapons on offense and Washington's defense is not on the level of Chicago. * The Bears have their work cut out for them because their are no more Carolina's or Jacksonville on the schedule.
@jamesjones1822 clearly you're not a Chicago fan because they don't see the Giants every year. * Personally I like Jayden as QB , Daniel Jones makes 40 million and st8ll hasn't figured out the NFL. * If you are a Washington fan ,I understand why you're a httr. * But keep your hear up, as Tupac says. * The Commandos future looks bright.
Loss because of “pure talent”…? WHAT😂 they lost because of coaching and because Jayden Daniels out played Caleb Williams. Bears have more talent on their roster… DQ and Kliff are just doing more with less and JD5 is an X Factor.
@@jonspengler5891he had 2 tds taken off the board, and 1 insane to to Luke that was an inch from another TD, not to mention all the BS refs. I not even a fan of him, the kid is top 5 QB right now
@byranwitherspoon5369 so Daniels far from dominated the game. Bears defense was awesome...What are folks watching. Commanders actually let up in the 4th is what saw aside from the prayer heave... game was in the bag
The Commanders have one of the worst CB groups in the league and CW only had 35 yards through the first 3 quarters. Commanders defense is nowhere close to where Chicago's defense is and CW couldn't do anything until the last quarter. Jayden played against a top 5 defense and the Commanders had almost 500 yards of total offense. There is no comparison between these two quarterbacks and Commanders clearly have the better QB!
Right now they do. JD is far more experienced than CW (played a lot more college games) and it shows. But CW balled out in the 4th qtr (unlike any Bears QB I've ever seen in almost 50 years), and that still counts. Let’s see in two years where we are. I think both will turn out to be exceptional QB’s. Good for the Commanders for getting their guy though!
Caleb nearly won the game being clutch in the last 2 minutes. Jayden was handed 63 yards and won with a flukey hail mary. Our coaches handed them the game and Washington barely won. JD will come crashing back to earth at some point. Caleb's not going anywhere and will get better.
The Commanders were the underdogs. Bears have better roster offensively and defensively. Commanders recievers had the dropsies. How Commanders won was coaching.
What struck me the most was the difference in body language between Jayden and Caleb and really the commanders and the bears. Caleb looked flustered and angry the entire game where Jayden seemed calm cool and collected + almost too cool! Watch Jayden, he’s always smiling and laughing. It just seems like the team that’s having more fun is the Commanders and that actually counts for a lot.
Never been big on reading into body language. If the Hail Mary hadn’t worked out someone could easily flip that narrative saying Caleb looked fired up ready to win while Daniels looked too laid back and not competitive enough.
Cool take, but Washington won on a Hail Mary, which means the hottest offense scored four field goals and got a lucky win, even though the Bears coaching is terrible. Caleb literally had the game won, but Daniels got lucky. I want my guy taking care of business, not throwing Hail Marys.
Thanks Chase for the breakdown and I mean Epic Breakdown!!! I don't understand coming out of a bye and looking like crap for 42 minutes?? Coaching failed the Bears AGAIN!
idk man the D is getting too many props for that game. if we pretend the hail marry didnt happen they still had over 430 yards of offense. most of the field goals were not forced by the defense and instead forced by washington themselves with flags or drops. it was more washington being their own worst enemy rather than the bears playing lock down defense. dont get me wrong they didnt play bad by any means. but again, certainly not some lock down defense either. same way im not trying to argue washington is some top 5 defense because the bears had 4 catches through 3 quarters meanwhile Caleb just straight up missed like 5-6 passes on his own
@michaellong2439 can't argue with that, the Defense made some plays but yes gave up a ton of yards. We shall see how it goes, second half of season is going to be a killer..
Both QB's have awesome talent and will be fun to watch for years to come. However, everyone can admit there's just something different about JD5. He's always so calm and appears to play his best in the biggest moments. Sure he's had better coaching and is more experienced, but those qualities can't be taught. What's worrisome about CW is he looked so much like a deer in headlights from the very first play. It's understandable if you're under a lot of pressure a bunch, but he looked that way right from the beginning. And he wildly missed on a lot of throws. The only explanation is the moment was just too big for him. Meanwhile JD5 is consistently super accurate, dropping dimes all over the field and the moment never seems to big. I hope Caleb can learn to control his nerves. We'll see ...
Hard for CW to not look exhausted when the Oline is letting guys come free and hit him all game. Pressured on 51.6% of dropbacks. And guess what? He still came back in the 4th and put his team up 3pts with 20 seconds left. I'm not worried about CW's mental game.
@@stevep2760 come on man he missed like 5-6 wide open passes throughout the game. im making no statement about his ability or future. but he just objectively missed many throws that game
@@michaellong2439.. and orchestrated two crucial clutch drives in the 4th to basically when the game... but yall wont acknowledge that lol.. what did JD do to lock up that game in the 4th aside from the prayer heave? Go look it up.
Kmet , 1 pass , 1 reception for 14 yards ! Commanders blitzed 54 % of their time on D . TE was open over the middle the whole night long . Williams has to be aware he can’t always go for big play . 5-8 yard passes win games too !
He missed some easy throws and was uncharacteristic for sure, but he was pressured 51.6% of his drop backs.... Again. This isn't the first time this line has played horrible and this also isn't the first time that this coaching staff has not taken direct blame because people look at a stat line. Everflus job needs to be held in front of him; there have been consistent discipline issues going back 3 years. The one thing that hasnt changed in 3 years is eberflus and the oline coach and were still not progressing on our line and were not progressing into making intellignet late game decision. No timeout is wild, allowing the sidelines is wild, bringing a fucking spy on the hail mary is wild
Pure talent?!? Terry is probably the best WR on both teams. But after him it’s Moore, Allen, Ofunze, Kmet, Swift plus the bears defense is infinitely better. Don’t try to sell Jayden short or make excuses for Caleb. His team is much more talented but Jaydens team is elevated by him and coaching
@@chiguy9472 exactly had Daniels been drafted by the bears he woulda struggled too and Caleb woulda succeeded with Washington more the bears suck at developing any talent outside of the defense
It took terrible coaching and a hail mary to win. Daniels has freakish athletic ability to run the ball but was easily dominated by the Bears D in the passing game. Way to early to determine who's better since Caleb is in a pro offense and Daniels in still playing in the same system as in college. we will see who's better in three years.
While the Hail Mary happened on the Defense they did what they had to do to win the game. They held the Commanders to only FGs. Its up to the offense to capitalize on those opportunities. its easy to blame the D when they failed on that .1% after they performed 99.9% of the game.
@@9190onin idk man the D is getting too many props for that game. if we pretend the hail marry didnt happen they still had over 430 yards of offense. most of the field goals were not forced by the defense and instead forced by washington themselves with flags or drops. it was more washington being their own worst enemy rather than the bears playing lock down defense. dont get me wrong they didnt play bad by any means. but again, certainly not some lock down defense either. same way im not trying to argue washington is some top 5 defense because the bears had 4 catches through 3 quarters meanwhile Caleb just straight up missed like 5-6 passes on his own
Exactly, y'all been saying since free agency Chicago has more talent then Washington,on paper they do,the difference is Washington has better coaching n clearly the better QB
Bears have more talent the big difference is commanders offensive line and coaching staff is 10x better thAn bears and as a bears fan i been saying i dont trust MAtt Eberflus he is better off just being defensive cordinator
@@justindamore1998if you take back the hail mary yards he was still at 275 yards. Not to mention the ertz play was absolutely a catch, and cosmi still had most of his body within a yard of the LOS if you watch the replay on the called back zaccheus TD
On the Swift touchdown run, the tackle clearly blocks the safety from behind. The tackle also trips the other safety. The tackle committed two penalties that were ignored by the refs, and you are praising him for his illegal blocks. That touchdown should have been brought back.
Caleb seemed to regress a bit, but that's normal. If I were his coaching staff I'd be very happy with his first year so far. He's progressing very well and he will have some slips. He definitely has great potential, not sure about the hype of the next Mahomes or Luck, but certainly will be a solid QB at the very least. I always like to wait 2 years before really trying to figure out how good a young QB will be, there is just so much to learn and so much maturation that needs to take place before a QB really comes into their own.
72 blocks the safety at first then breaks and tackles the safety from behind for what should have been a penalty. Should have brought back that TD run.
Great to see Caleb grow up in the last 2 drives. No can the coaches grow up in the first portion of the game, and the final defensive drive. Then I'll be happier.
If the Redskins had 1/2 the defense the Bears have, this game wouldn't have been close. Chinn completely blew it on that Swift 50 yard run. He ran straight into the wash instead of playing as a...safety. Shitty secondary play from Washington. Shocking!!
@@coughcough3323 He was the lefty safety in 2 deep. He blew the angle and got blown up in the 2 for 1 block from the pulling tackle. He should have been there to push him out of bounds. The #96 the left DE almost caught Swift and he came from the opposite side of the field. Terrible play from Chinn. The play begins at 9:14 of the video.
I respect Chase Daniel but it's all the narrative of promoting certain guys no matter what and a lot of it is still draft status. Caleb plays like ass for three quarters, and admittedly he played better at the end of the game, and the hot takes are on how exciting a game it was and how we're going to get to say 'Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams face off for the next 15 years. Which, first of all, you aren't. They're not in the same division. They won't play each other every year. But second it gets conveniently ignored because of the exciting ending that Caleb was just BAD for most of the game. Just like in college his last year at USC, against the better teams he struggled. You look at a guy like Brock Purdy, and yes I'm a Niners fan, he has a mediocre first half against Dallas after a poor week against KC and people talk about how he's a fraud. End of the game, he's provided over 300 yards of total offense and 2 touchdowns. But he'll continue to be called overrated every time he struggles and every time Caleb struggles there will be some other reason for it other than he maybe isn't as good as we thought.
@@Nate-ce2hn it is and while I obviously want him to succeed as an Ohio State fan, it is why I don't think Justin Fields was the problem there. Which isn't to say he is great right now or even consistent enough to be a starter. But nothing in Chicago also enabled him to grow into that. But I also feel that Caleb doesn't have it upstairs mentally to be consistently great either. It's not because he paints his nails although that is weird and goofy and painting them "F Utah" was classless. And that is it. I don't think he's emotionally or mentally mature or disciplined enough to successfully handle adversity. Maybe he'll get there. I mean I will give him credit for getting himself together in the fourth quarter. And his story isn't completely written. But his last year at Utah we saw those kind of immature and entitled moments and outbursts and we saw him look fairly mundane at times against good defenses in college and we're still seeing it now. That's why I think teams need to look at the whole person and not just the skill set at that position in particular. Anthony Richardson has a cannon and can fly but he never even showed he could consistently play quarterback at Florida and now look at him struggling in Indy. Johnny Manziel was a bit of a head case in college and Zach Wilson showed signs too and look at them. It's like maybe Caleb figures it out but when you have a guy with some red flags and you don't have the right people to coach around or through them, who knows how it will work out.
What was Jenkins doing on that first sack? The Bear defense did exactly what they needed to do. Flus screwed up not using a timeout to get his guys ready for that drive. He should have coached them to defend the boundary. Then for that last play!? What the hell was he saving them for? I will give rookie #72 Kirin Amegadjie props. He has fast feet and he isn't bad with them. A little more coaching and in the game practice and he will be good. The talk about Flus and Waldron's jobs has already begun at WCG. That fumbled snap to Kramer was idiotic with Roshon Johnson ready to punch it in. And then the D got a 3 and out and they drove it right back to do it the god damn right way. It should have been a two score Bear lead. Think about that if you can god damn stand it. Geez Anyway, loved the breakdown Chase! Keep your fan chin up! lol!!
According to this analysis;Once again, it comes down to coaching. The play design is faulty, the spacing is off, or the details are Not emphasized enough to the players executing the play. This coaching staff, especially Offensively, are Not emphasizing the importance of performing the play EXACTLY like they are supposed to. This has been a communication problem with this Offensive Coaching staff and the players, for the last 3 years.
@ the only miracle was that the shitty bears were in that game at all after getting their asses kicked for the whole game. Just be happy it was close. Your team is ass. Stankin ass team. People / the media keeps highlighting the Tyreek Stevenson situation as if that was the primary reason the Bears lost. In reference to Caleb's play, they say he put them in a situation to win despite completing 41%. In a game this year against the Cowboys Justin Fields had a bad 3 quarters and he completed 55%. He, much like Caleb, drove down the field 2 times late in the game to give the team a chance to win the game. I'm don't like to use JF in this example it brings up an old argument. It's just a frame of reference that I personally have because I've been primarily watching the Steelers and the Bears. My point here is the media has the capability to control the narrative and manipulate public opinion and they're making excuses for a horrible game for CW. CW was way off the mark for 90% of the game. Some of the throws were so bad and wouldn't even be acceptable for a D3 QB. He looked like he didn't belong in the NFL. It's definitely not time to give up on CW but with all the talk this week of taking responsibility it needs to be acknowledged that CW played probably one of the worst 3 quarters of NFL football by any QB this year. Jameson Winston had a better game against the Ravens this past week. As far as Eberflus and staff goes they need to stop thinking CW is instant Mahomes. The need to play him conservatively. The talent will show itself organically, but when you have him doing too much such as calling his own plays which forces him to understand the in game situational strategy this will hurt the fundamentals. For that reason and many others Eberflus is on the hot seat.
@5:58. IF CW can pre snap determine who he's going to throw to he can generally make a nice throw. My theory is pre snap he reads Cov 3 zone or Cov 1 many hole. Either way he knows he has to defeat a LB in the middle of the field. He looks at Allen to the left on the snap then looks right to move the defense, not to consider another player. But the fake look to the right is a bad fake and he is lucky the LB did not bite on the fake as the look to the right would draw the LB into the direction of the throwing lane.
Forget all what happen before the last minute including the Touchdown called back or the TE dropping a Touchdown meaning Washington should have been up by that amount to begin with. The BEARS lost because NFL coaches play Prevent Defenses which Prevents them from winning the GAME at the End of Games.
I thought we were done trying to be cute on the goal line after that horrible run option in week 3. Just run the ball with your power back!!! Maybe if you’re up a lot you can try to score with your lineman like the Lions just did, but not in a close game…
I’m a Bears fan and I wanted JD but Poles wanted “his guy”. People were going crazy the last two games Caleb played but he played the Jags who are terrible and the Panthers who are worse. Having your two best games so far against terrible teams isn’t moving me.
The reason the Bears lost is poor play discipline - a direct reflection of bad coaching. Fire the DB coach and make statement Eberflus. Or don’t and make a bigger statement. Then go back your bags.
You’d be surprised how great coaching wins a lot of games in the NFL. Patrick Mahomes is playing horribly and the Chiefs are 7-0 because of Spagnolo & Andy Reid. Keep it simple.. FIRE FLUS!!!!
On the goal line hand off. CW runs begins to run back like he's going to handoff to the running back. Is it possible he forgot the play was a handoff to the FB?
Commanders are a new team. You can see that because this is the 2nd or 3rd game that they completely dominated but almost beat themselves. Refs made some really really bad calls.
Washington's coaching is grade A. Chicago's coaching is an F-. Caleb in Washington's staff would look great. He's not the athlete Daniels is but he'd still look really good. Jayden in Chicago's doomed coaching hands, might be running a lot more just like Fields had to do. But wouldn't look as impressive throwing. And yeah, Terry McLaurin is better than Chicago's best 2 receivers. The other guys in Washington are no-names but when Robinson is running well, he is a factor back. That said, Jayden was sore. BUT... Chicago's defense was missing it's top 2 DB's and the high powered Washington offense still kept stalling out to the tune of 3 FGs. Neither team looked good in any fashion and if Chicago didn't have a piss poor coaching staff, Bears win and this game is only talked about for how ugly and underwhelming it was for the hype over the QBs.
Caleb Williams didnt lose. He won the game with 23 seconds left. Idiots lost the game by allowing a hail mary, falls on the coaching staff for not calling a timeout and Tyrique Stevenson for not paying attention.
Caleb got gifted a 2nd chance on the Last TD. He threw a garbage non catchable ball way over his receiver and got a PI called on 4th down. Bears are cheeks
@demon2k16 if you a commanders fan cool. He trash. But if you a fan of football you can't say that. The tape doesn't lie. I'm a Bears fan and I knew jayden was a problem. I give props where they due. He better coached then Caleb and he has more experience then Caleb something nobody talks about. I think he played college 6 years if I'm not mistaken. Jayden my mvp but they won't give it to him cause he a rookie. Both are phenomenal in they own way. Nothing trash about my boy Caleb at all🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣true story
This is how you pick up a blitz -completely tackles the defensive lineman. I find it odd that no one is mentioning that Washington was robbed of two touchdowns. All I hear about is how Chicago should’ve won. Washington had this game won since the first play of the game despite than almost blowing it in the end.
To be fair, in the 4th Q when it mattered Caleb flipped the switch and engineered 2 excellent drives and made a couple of special plays to put them into a position to win the game ( all credit to the Bears D for keeping it that close ). Aside from the hail mary, what did Daniels do in the 4th?
It’s called the “Caleb Curve”…. When Caleb doesn’t play well and the bears lose it’s everyone else’s fault. When he does play well and the bears win it’s all solely because of him. Basically, no matter what Caleb is never at fault for anything bad, and always responsible for everything that’s good.
@@cmyskinsfan Ridiculous. I'm not saying Caleb played well through the first 3 quarters, but you don't think the coaching let them down at the end of the game?

If were a Washington fan I would be ecstatic, but I would also be excited as a Bears fan because it's obvious that Caleb is developing into something they haven't had in 50 years.
Man man point blank. The coaching stink ass you put to much blame on the quarterback in an offensive line in the way the offense was designed you better go and look at the coaching staff and the offensive coordinator. They need to have a better plan for the blitz point blank. And you can change your place. Have a better plan for the blitz. I don’t get y’all the media I mean the coaching staff makes a big difference and from where I’m looking and everyone else is seeing it it’s easy to recognize. I am not saying that Caleb didn’t have a bad game of course he did, but he was doing the assignment that was presented to him from the offensive coordinator so he had to do those assignments either good or bad play and because they didn’t leave him in out not and some of the time their play calling be off a bit I mean, where was not at the correct times so it’s just the fact that right when your video coming on you should’ve spoke all the problems which was the coach special team and Caleb instead that pointing out the obvious the bad play, but will you show it as it wasn’t organized for a winning format, so be easy a little on Caleb right now ok buddy?
I guess Chase's perspective is it's a great play if you don't get caught? BTW, if he doesn't grab the safety by the neck and pull him down, his legs don't whip around to take out the 2nd would-be tackler, either. But, big props for being invisible to the refs I guess.
The commanders offense got to the redzone a lot Some from inside their own 20 Let that sink in folks Just didn’t finish their food if they did it would’ve been a blowout Meanwhile the bears got to the redzone what, once or twice? Against the commanders defense? lol and Caleb was stinking it up out there
When the Bears do bad, it's the O-line and coaching. When the Bears win, CW is ready for Canton, OH. Yes, I am not a CW fan, and I wasn't a JF fan. I am a Tyson Bagent fan. I can't wait for Tyson to go to a team that will give him a chance so every bear fan can scream for the next 15 years. I am a bear fan, and I predicted a 6 win season. In public, we hear how warm and fuzzy the locker room is. That's not reality.
The Chicago Bears did a great job in getting on the score board. The Bears aggressively charged and lead the game in the 4th quarter from zero - what character. I'm sorry, but this is characteristic of Chicago teams. The Bears vs Commanders game was actually a great game for both teams and an NFL study, play by play, I guarantee every NFL team will case study this game - your welcome. I feel no mistake was made on neither coach's part nor QB. The loss was purely due to the nature of The Hail Mary. No team can plan for it, stop it, nor predict it - thus why it's called a Hail Mary. You just don't mess with Jesus' mother. When any QB trust her, she delivers no matter what the odds are. Thats all folks. Let's carry on and prepare for next Chicago Bears win.
Bad defense? They held the Commanders to their lowest point total of the season? Maybe it was 45% completion for 150? They don't even score 15 if Swift doesn't bust a long one. Caleb had ONE decent drive the whole game and even then he needed a ticky tacky DPI to save the drive. And he got sacked out of field goal range earlier in the game taking points off the board
Give Some Credit To The Commanders Boy!!!! 0 Points In The 1st Half,, Bears Thought The Game Was Over With 25 Seconds On The Clock, Got The P/I On A Ball That Was Not Gonna Be Caught! Bears Lucky To Be In That Game Period, Jayden Outplayed Caleb Period. Commanders All Day 👊🏾
Caleb has 3 great recievers to throw too way more talent then jayden has but jayden showed why he is the better qb by far jayden even had several touchdowns taken from him
I usually respect your analysis but I don’t understand this one. Commanders were said to have way less talent all summer and preseason. Bears D has been ranked high all year! The Bears don’t show growth cause of terrible coaching, the Commanders continue to improve!
As a lifelong bears fan of more than 60 years. I can tell you Caleb Fingernails Williams is a bust. He panics at the slightest bit of pressure. His accuracy sucks. How about sliding on a 3rd and 2 and coming up a yard short. UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Somebody needs to have a talk with caleb. He spent 3 qtrs pouting and showing negative energy! And it rubbed off on everyone else and it showed! Stop being an emotional girl and suck it up.
The Bears are the top of the town what are you talking about you and after you lost they’re still a talk of the town because they already bought the narrative that Caleb is the next great thing. They came in thinking they could play with Washington like they’re the Lions.
So what exactly was "The REAL Reason Caleb Williams Lost Vs Commanders"? These clickbait titles aren't necessary Chase. We're all watching because you're a former NFL QB (and former Bear) who knows far more than we do.
The real reason Caleb lost was because he's trash. He was the 4th best QB in the draft and closer to his ceiling than his floor. Bears love to be mediocre and drafting Caleb proved it.
Caleb played awful, had plenty of terrible throws. He was 10-24. You even admit “half of these are not Caleb breakdown”. Well no shit, if it was a Caleb breakdown, you would have to be honest about how terrible he was!
