I think that was a seed subconsciously put in the mind of young black men.. Remember 50 cent has problems with his own son so I think he's projecting his beliefs on camera.
Agreed.. planting a negative seed into the minds of young men. Not a good look. But what do we expect from a show that 50 is a part of? Look at his relationship with his own kids.
FACTS! Which is why she said Tasha was the hero of the story. 🤦🏾♂️ She made a black woman, who wanted to keep her husband in the drug game the hero of the story?
@@CLS_7301Being number 1 usually means it’s extremely entertaining to the very people who stereotype black men. It has absolutely nothing to do with what Omari is espousing here.
The writer went wild with the script- Ghost had Angela, his true love, die in his arms, had his daughter killed. His son became a cop killer as teen, and killed him. WILD. Too WILD.
When Tommy shot his dad Teressi in his home in a quiet neighborhood with no silencer, dragged his body to his car and then drove His car to the grave site and put his body by the tombstone and Never got caught is when it really started being too fantasy landish.
The real reason they got ghost off the show is because his character was overshadowing everyone else. How many seasons has he been gone and he character still is untouched. If he would have remained he would've had too much star power. 50 cents knows this
He wasn’t untouched tho 😭😭😭 ghost got shot went to jail almost got Shanked in jail he was deceived by Milan and basically was one step ahead of ghost was basically getting his ass kicked by kanan before stabbing him almost was choked to death in a elevator by Jason 😂😂😂 I didn’t know all these things happening to a nigga make him untouchable
No the real reason they killed off ghost is because omari Hardwick wanted to be paid what he felt he should’ve been getting a long time ago and the starz executives as well as power executives didn’t want to pay him that so they killed the character off
That’s a damn lie everybody likes Tommy as much as ghosts they both have the Iconic characters. And 50 tried to bring ghosts back multiple times but they said he was asking for too much
Ghost was a great character but please don’t act like 50’s other shows not top of the line because everyone season when a power show starts it’s #1 on Starz
No cap but I totally agree with Omari Hardwick and what he said about his opinion also how he feels about his black Ghost Character getting killed by his black son then explaining it the best way for everybody can see👀 it from his point of view💯
I agree - Ghost was a character who wanted to leave the drug game since season 1. I wanted for Ghost to have a happy ending. After season 2, I think that the writers should have made it so Ghost was out of the game. With Julio and Tommy the new kingpins. Ghost was someone that the audience could relate to. He was a man trying to do better. He had wealth, night clubs and intelligence (spoke English and Spanish) plus a strong physical stature. Ghost of season 1 and 2 was a different character compared to the character's portrayal thereafter. You could feel omaris' frustration in this interview.
Very Much So Hey... But Power Universe Was Starting To Lose The Original Theme "Drug Game" Since He Was Slowly Deviating From The Game... He Was The Main Character REMEMBER!, So They Had To Kill Him Off...
Omari said in another interview, Courtney wouldn’t give him a voice of where his character was going nor any producer writing for any episode whereas all other big shows the main character is able to direct a episode here and there and has control over their characters future I find it to be true because 50 doesn’t respond or made any comments responding to Omari saying otherwise
he cappin if ghost was dead they wouldn't have hid the final death scene and made the lead up to the funeral so cryptic. They know what they doing man.
Finally someone said it. Why would Power writers make Tariq be the shooter of his father portraying to young black children that if you don’t like what your parents say just kill them off. Terrible message for an amazing show overall
They should've had it where ghost and tariq rebuilt their relationship..While ghost is own his way becoming Lt Governor.. he gets taking out by an old enemy at truth after the party is over..before the shooting..tommy stops by to let ghost know he stills has his back.and out of nowhere ghost gets hit in the chest... tariq sees the shooter and vows revenge while ghost dies in tommys arms and tariq ends up becoming the man ghost didn't want him to be (Like him)..that would've gave alot more meaning to power book 2....wasnt any reason for tariq to shoot ghost...ghost loved tariq and took care of him and gave him everything he wanted..this was a bullshit ending to a good show..but lets see what happens when ghost reappears.
@SupportGamin2024 Who tf in the entertainment business gone wanna spoil if they character is really dead or not when making you think one thing when it's really another????? If anything I want the public to think I'm dead for the build up and suspense. It's called story telling. It's a reason why most fans think he's not really dead and the Power series has a knack for making you think someone is dead and they're not. Also Omari said in previous interviews that Power has asked him to come back multiple times but the money wasn't right so who's really delusional?????
The son taken him out was Shakespeare too! Overall Kanan won he after death he used his son as a pawn to get revenge! But I do understand the responsibility Omari is speaking on about a son shooting his father.
For me personally what ruined the show was aura or persona of Ghost (not seen, heard or recognized) became infamous. Killing Angie removed purpose from his character.
Thank you, OMARI HARDWICK ❤❤ WE NEED TO EVOLVE FROM THE SAME BLACK STEREOTYPES. we are hurting ourselves by perpetuating the same BS roles. Salute to you, Omar, for not Selling Your Soul to 5cent.💪🏾💪🏾
I always thought of the final episodes suspects, it should've been Saxe but Tariq witnessed it, putting him in a dilemma for Book II - be in the game but be a snitch, or basically live life getting what he wanted (Ghost out the picture) but knowing a dirty lawyer is still employed and reaping praise/benefits after taking down his father.
Distraction ghost come n back n when he does it’s gonna break the internet and Omari speaking truth to power he a great actor an with Tariq as the lead I haven’t taken this show serious I feel like I’m watching what’s happening
It’s tv tho we understand the real aspects of it I honestly feel they did complete Omari’s vision 40% ish. Mainly because of how Omari played his character he tried to do right but life was lifing in his world. Especially as a black father it’s like everything we do good the bad comes a little faster n hits harder then before. The writers did good honestly it’s still room to finish the story
I didn't like that storyline of the child killing that father not a good message from our community in a very popular show. 50 cent drop the ball on that ending of the hit sitcom
Don't we have an issue with a father killing his own son? Kanan killed Shawn. A black father killed his black son. There is no excuse, even being away for a long time.
The moment Tariq and Kanan had the talk in the car about why he killed his son and why it had to be done everyone should have already known what was going to take place
Well maybe cos he really needs more than Brayden to have his back this next season.. it would be crazy if ghost was never dead and came back for this last season to open up the next power book story.. him & Tommy & the dude that killed that guy in the pool for Tariq.
The Dynamics between Kanan & Shawn or Ghost & Tariq relate directly to 50's personal life. Due to 50 not having a Father in his life or him & his oldest son's relationship he never placed value in the Father & Son relationship between Ghost & Tariq. I think that in turn caused Courtney to write that Tariq killed Ghost.
Omari should knock it off and holla at 50 for his comeback. Say the black political advisor saved his life in TRUTH and come full circle with all the other spinoffs
The whole tariq story doesn’t make sense..he went his entire life living a rich kid life then the moment he found out hids dad was a drug dealer before a club owner he wants to become a drug dealer wtf?!!
The creator of Power along with 50 cent, is Kourtney Kemp, a black woman. She wrote most of the power episodes, and when she talked about her black father growing up, you can tell she had a little resentment!
He’s absolutely right and i agree that Riq shouldn’t have been the one to do it BUT bro Ghost had to die, there’s only two ways out of the game: death or jail and Ghost wasn’t about to be the guy to break that cycle after everything he did
Don’t agree with the caption, Joey Bad ass confirmed Nique was dead, and look who appeared at the end of the season finale, Kanan also fake his death before, we just gotta wait for this last season of PowerBook 2 to air to find out‼️💯🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
Omari Hardwick is an activist for who? Obviously the Power universe doesn’t need him, in fact the series & spin-offs grew expeditiously after his exit. Writing Omari back into the show will help his career. After all, every project he’s ever worked on before & after his roll on Power was less than mediocre at best. Most would agree Power has been his greatest & most successful project, and his career has suffered substantial ever since. So As Long As Power Is On, It’ll To His Advantage & Best Interest To Continue Rehashing The Past Hoping One Day…
Lmao not Paz 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦🏾♀️she was mad about Angela but she realized that it was just as much her sister fault for getting herself killed I always knew it was gonna be tariq there was no other way that was gonna go🤦🏾♀️ I remember screaming it's gonna be tariq all week my people was like can you shut up I was right tho 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Unless he grew up in a broken home w/ a cheating father he don’t know how traumatizing that can be to a black male child especially after you threaten his mother. Tariq’s final straw was ghost putting his hands on his mother in all actuality. It came a point where ghost couldn’t be trusted anymore. To state all of that and not how much of a B-A-N*^*a ghost became is absurd.
he obviously stated that ghost was starting to get written as the bad guy when the show never began that way. ghost used to be calculated and he knew how to control his emotions, the writers should’ve handled things better with ghost’s character n tariq n ghost’s relationship
Do you think Starz, which is part of “ White Hollywood “, was going to have it Any Other Way? Hell No, They are Going to Keep The Negative Narratives, Storylines, and Stereotypes of Black People, Going in whatever They Bring to The Screen.
Right. Black boy hates his father, Black wife hates her Black husband. Black wife wants her husband to stay in the drug game and she can cheat, but he can't. Black son wants to be in the streets.
So now get 59 to bring back ghost ghost is called ghost for a reason and gibe him a rewind whatever when the cops and everyone came to ghost come on now
Woww I don’t see ghost dying period if he comes back he stays back it’s because of his son that ghost lost all of his empire and family his son should have died and left his daughter Raina alive at the same time ghosts wife was pregnant in real life so there fore he could have had a second son and a chance to move on with his life with out any time else dying back drop power 10 kanas family moving forward as a grown man having shows like where is all of the bodies him running to his mother for advice as home ghost and Tommy run their drug business it’s a wash the new power series is constantly using the original power series to continue on with the other shows
This dude be extra AF in interviews 😂He reminds of the street dude who went to jail and turned Muslim 🤣🤣…he actually makes a good point though in this interview. It’s just NOT his story to tell. You’re an actor, just ACT.
Such a stupid idiotic comment. Smdh. All he did is speak what the fans have been saying since he was killed. His son killing him was a terrible plot. The true question is why kill Ghost that early at all?
Ghost got took out by a sucka. I 1000% with Omari take on Ghost death, how u make this man get shot by his own son, all because he felt he was in the way, Tariq was spoiled, know real struggle in life, and talking bout his pops was in the way. GTFOH
