Thanks for this information as it has been validating for my taking my time when it comes to dating ... i have been paying attention to the ways people communicate both verbally and physically ... i pray to have this type of loving, healthy , growing together type of relationship but when i am transparent with my background, ... men take it as making excuses for a negative perception they developed , or that i am blaming the family not explaining the dynamics ... and then there is the unfortunate times that the spoken of experiences led to the negative repeate of the spoken of offenses ... only to be told that it was assumed that i was used to being treated a certain way ... ugh??? i dont get it , both people have to be willing to be open , humble and willing to allow the other into thier world/life . . . i keep an open heart and mind but i meet men that are not... would love to and know that we should do pre marrital couseling ... hope hes willing when He comes, for now i am working on my healing and growth and being concious of my actions towards my daughter and 2 sons .
