I am a fan of Canelo, before he fought Floyd and after he fought Floyd. What I love about Canelo is when he fought floyd, he made no excuses why lost. He took that L like a Champion, and got better. He made me fall in love with boxing all over again.

How can I hate on anyone who chose to fight for our entertainment. Growing up in killer CaLa, during the late 70& crazy 80s , I fought for my life , like everyone to keep my isht. This is true for most people... I don't hate canelo. I think he's an effective boxer and very accomplished. He's also probably the hardest worker in boxing at his level. I could logically explain my issues with him although I understand what you're saying

@@iantoja there are several issues inside the ring. Mostly unanswered questions that get covered up by his knowledge of the sport and explosive knockouts. His knowledge overcomes his slow feet for example. He loses more rounds than a few while he breaks his opponent down. Plant was frustrating him and I don't think plant is as skilled as everyone else does. Imagine if he never caught plant with the left. I believe at that point plant was winning the boxing match skill wise although I know with judging that may not have been enough. I also know that it took skill to set plant up for that one. But it took so long that I'm not sure that he had improved that much skill wise since his Floyd fight against slick lefties. It don't matter because he gets the job done though but I personally like that slick boxer style. It's a few more things but they are preference things... Outside of the ring I don't like the way he moves although I think he deserves to be able to move that way because no one fights more than him recently. He seems to go down the path of least resistance. Nothing wrong with that but I don't like it. I don't like when he plays the naive card either like with the mfer thing. He plays the i didn't know card when we know he knows. He uses the same excuse every time. From the mf to the tainted meat to the being green when he fought Floyd thing. I think he always knows what's going on and is in war more control with his training, fight selection, etc than he lets on but he's trying to put up a persona which is cool I just don't like it. People make mistakes and I understand boxing is a dirty business. I just wish he kept it real that's all. He's earned that right

In Mexico a lot of insecure males hate him because he was the first Mexican boxer that had female fans because of his looks and personal charisma . He was the Luis Miguel of the boxing world where women loved him and most males hated him or at least the insecure ones . I doubt Canelo fans love him like they do their children. There's different levels of love and if anybody loves Canelo like they love their close relatives then they have a serious problem.
I think people have this stigma towards him. That makes most feel like he's a manufactured talent, I myself dot feel this way because canelo early on in his career wasn't scared to lose his 0 he went right in there with the best of them. Even if some legends were a bit over the hill we can't knock him on that. People will eventually have to learn to respect him once he does his thing and takes care of the guys people claim he is duckin.

This is the best reason I've heard of. It's so simple. It's pretty much people's emotions. A lot of times great athletes are not liked because of arrogance and lack of humility. I don't see that in Canelo. I don't buy the ducking and dodging fighters. He proved that with fighting Bivol.

Some people hate canleo but some people automatically label you as a hater for keeping it real about him. It's almost like you can't criticize canelo for some things he has done and gotten away with. Me for an example I don't hate canelo but I'm going to keep it real about him just like I do every fighter in boxing even my favorites. He's not above criticism or anybody else opinions or facts. People definitely hate on guys at the top which is canelo's case but some people have their reasons for example gift decisions. His fans can't roast floyd gifts and iv situations but praise canelo at the same time when canelo has gotten away with things as well. True, when Teo was set to fight Loma he was receiving nothing but respect but as soon as he won then they started hating him. Same thing happened with Kambosos, they loved him all the way until he beat Teo. They're just going to hate who's on top until it's the guy they love.
I don't think people hate him that's such a strong word he just doesn't fight the best fighters and it's a fact that he has vacated belts to avoid tough mandatories but now he's fighting Demetri Bivol which is a tough fight And I believe Demetrius Andre later this year.
If u did 2 minutes of research you would find out that he vacated only after charlo rejected the fight and asked to fight Andrade but the wbo denied him that fight and mandated he fight sergey, who immediately priced himself out. After they couldn't make that fight either is when he vacated and moved up .

I don’t hate Canelo. I dislike the system supporting him. A Judge said Canelo beat Mayweather. Most people say Canelo lost to GGG and Canelo avoided his mandatory Charlo. And he got caught cheating with PEDs. A Man’s story is sometimes formed through a Man’s actions. Canelo never opening took accountability for the system that protects him. If he did he wouldn’t have any Hate.
Conveniently fail to mention that he was found to not have cheated by the hair follicle test. I think the problem is that people are acting like canelo didnt lose 8 fights ago. We all know especially in the boxing world that a canelo with TWO LOSSES POSSIBLY EVEN THREE LOSSES would be a much different canelo from a canelo today with only one loss.
