To me the big thing that made me uninstall for the first time in 7 years was the dynamic of playing ranked, getting to a higher rank, and then that higher rank having a higher amount of cheaters than the rank I had earlier. Also yea the game’s pretty boring compared to destiny 2
I like cheerios. But if I ate cheerios every single day for 20 years, I'd start to hate them. I feel like Siege is in a similar way, where its remained mostly consistent in terms of gameplay, that its starting to get boring to people. But because there isnt a "Siege Clone" out there like there are CS Clones, or CoD Clones, or Battlefield Clones, it makes it even harder for people to get a pallet clenser with the same vibes
Getting burntout on a game is normal. You dont have to play the game everyday just when you want to. Sometimes you can use a break or play another game until you want to play siege again.
What makes me bored is they never switch up anything. We’ve had the same 3 game modes since launch and maps take FOREVER to come out. It’s extremely repetitive
I don't mind the cosmetics that much except for the ones where you cant tell what operator it is. Especially the recent rick and morty skins that don't even share a silhouette with the operator. Its one of the only situations where it impacts the gameplay for me imo
i mean i wouldn’t run them but to me its a hell of a lot easier to see bright characters or rick (doc) having big ass spiky hair, i feel like it puts you at a disadvantage rather than a skin thats darker or at least one main color
The core problem with this game is, if you want to play it successfully, you relay on a team, you need a 5 stack. In order to play in a 5 stack, you need to schedule times for all players to play together, practice, etc. Which means, you need to plan your life around this game. Who doesn't do that, will soon get frustrated. But Who wants a game to dictate their life schedule. That's the main reason, why I don't play it. I seriously play rather against AI. One work around this problem would be a pure solo que play list.
I actually uninstalled today. ☹️. Been waiting for them to do something about xim on console but it seems like nothing will work. The lack of content also.
Before even watching the video I gotta say I miss a lot of the old gamey mechanics like Zofia withstand. And some of the counterplays like echo being a hard counter to doki. Frag change shouldn't have happened, just reduce the DMG to not kill when it's through a wall/floor.
I dropped R6S for 2 years when they reworked tachanka to an entirely new operator. You can call Chanka a meme but his turret created a very unique play no longer seen in R6S anymore. Reason why he was my main with 3000k turret eliminations. You can hard lock a room from an entire team just by yourself if you positioned correctly. All arguments of him being an easy target while stationary is vaild but that's why they could had easily buffed him. Instead we had his turret shooting like the 357 magnum full auto, a single wrapper obstructing his placement, easily cheesed face shield from shooting edges behind cover, and 100° of rotation. Simply fix all that bs and he would had become a death machine balanced by being stationary.
I haven't experienced many cheaters to my knowledge. The 2 things that hurt my Siege experience are: 1. Toxicity. Players are just extremely abrasive. Make one mistake, you're copper 5, but they throw the game and they have every excuse in the book. And lots of team killing too, which severely impacts the reliability of teamwork. One random, I played with 2 games in a row by coincidence, flamed me on the mic & tried to TK me the second game, because I used Clash 1 round last game. 2. The game is beginner hostile. If you're new, you need to learn so much. A dozen maps, each with hundreds of windows, doors, hatches, breakable floors & walls, common angles & rotates, etc. currently 73 different operators with different abilities & weapons, and each weapon has different recoil patterns, and each ability has different interactions with the environment and other abilities. This also ties in to reason 1. Players will be toxic to you, even though you're new. You're expected to basically have top 10 champion aim & game knowledge off rip, before you even install the game for the first time
People have too high of an ego. One game I asked the 3-6 ash to switch off her and play someone more useful and got insta tk’d the next round when I was the top of the leaderboard

The reason i took my 4 year break from siege was simply because of lack of content and i lost contact with sime good friends that used to play it with me
I haven't played siege since 2 seasons ago. Bored of it. Bored of the map rotation, bored of the content, bored of the cosmetics. It's a boring game now. They need something crazy to bring me back
I think I just hit a level of frustration with the game that I can’t get over, it’s fun still but I end up being more frustrated and wanting to uninstall it than ever before. I have not played much of this season cause honestly I feel like the cheating and the jiggle peaks are just ruining the game

I quit the game, Ive played it since 2017 i think. My problem with the game is how unrealistic it became. I guess thats the problem with damn near every game nowadays. I loved its realistic tactical shooter vibe, its long gone now
game did get boring. so much so, i just stopped reinforcing site because it made the game more fun. opens up more angles and avenues of attack and defense. when reinforcing site fully it just funnrls the enemy team thru the same few doors to a point of making the game feel static
I stopped playing after my friends stopped. I played solo for a bit but it's miserable. My friends stopped because got fed up of constantly facing off against smurfs (we were all bronze/silver), or the matchmaker putting us against golds, and sometimes higher.
Both my buddy and I left siege at the same time because simply, it ran its course. We had our fill, both of us even to this day have enough renown to buy the next 5ish operators. The game is near and dear to my heart as that’s how we bonded and became best friends. But the gameplay just got stale. We stopped right as commanding force came out, as console players it was great content wise but we had been playing for 6 years at that point. I don’t see us playing for a very long time till our palette of games diversify more and get nostalgic for siege or maybe big sweeping changes to the fundamentals on how to play the game, getting rid of 1.5s and 2x scopes was not a big enough change for us to come back. We are the casual gamers and just kinda hop from game to game and we just finished borderlands 3 which was a good experience. Siege will always have its core audience and fluctuate numbers, I still like to keep up with siege news like politics just to stay in the loop on this channel but as for playing the game I just can’t bear to play quick match as I did for 6 years.
My biggest reason I quit was the scopes just feel bad to use, now Removal of the 1.5x was a major factor for me quitting The second reason was the removal of Recruit Rush; this showed me that they are out of ideas, and I should just move on until they add something that interests me enough to come back
Don't forget making almost all the guns with little to no recoil is far to cheesy compared to a real gun , siege identity crisis , and matchmaking issues , shooting games is not meant for consoles

I stopped playing a lot more once the OG maps started to be redone. I just dont have the time or energy to relearn those maps. I really do miss the old ones.
MM and cheating are the biggest problems right now and they combine together in a beautiful fashion. Some games, I play against people who have been Emerald since time and memorial with a nice 50% winrate. So you know they are actually Emerald players. Other games, while playing with the exact same stack, I will queue into people who have been Champions since Y6, legit champions. Wtf. Even better when I play into the 80% winrate 2.0 KD who started playing the game last season who is totally not a cheater. And so, I winder: Is the combined MMR of me and my stack in Emerald or in Champion? If that's how MM will be, just delete MM and make it like how Battle Royales were initially. Competitive integrity isn't a thing anymore with the amount of cheaters, so ditch the Matchmaking System entirely.
not gonna lie , i would play siege but it just feels like there is a cheater each lobby or the pop has dropped so low that the matchmaking cannot work and balance the teams
We haven't had a meta changing operator in like a year at least. I want my characters that change things up. Like when Mira or Hibana came out. When Osa came out, Flores, Azami.
its just crazy how the devs definitely have access to the data on map bans, but yet still keep in the worst maps that nobody wants to play and are banned 99% of the time
I stopped playing r6 about a year and a half ago with about 2k hours. The main reason i dont want to go back in is because ever time i let the game go i come back to a different game. Recoil, movement, ect. Change isnt a bad thing obviously, i just dont wanna get used to a new game again. I dont really have this problem with CS or alot of other shooters when i leave for months at a time. I rather just play something eles. btw go with injection unless you have pills then dissolve it under your tongue no one told me so im telling you sister
The idea of "if you're annoyed with siege play another game like it!" is so annoying because there is NOTHING like siege. I want to play siege and I want the game to get updated and fixed.
I have quite because the matchmaking is so bad. I cant play with my friends without getting slaughtered, both in ranked and standard. Just a terrible experience. Fix ranked and I will come back.
My reason is that siege doenst feel seige anymore, 8 out of 10 matches either the enemy team is dead within 30 secs and i do nothing or my team is dead within 30 secs and I'm left alone agaisnt the entire enemy team, 1 out of 10 matches is against a 5 stack and we cant do anything so its 0-4 and the rest are actual enjoyable matches
being left alone vs an entire would be a good training for gunfights. I used to hate being left alone as well but my years of playing Siege made me love them due to the crazy things it brings.
Back during operation Crimson Heist, the constant raging while grinding the battle pass and just having wonky settings that fucked up my aim made me rage a lot in Siege. I took a month long break, and didn't come back for like a year or two until a coworker asked me to squad up with him. I felt better this 2nd time around playing Siege, but I was no longer a fan of the gameplay. I ended up quitting for good, resorted myself to playing MWII at that time
As someone who hasn't played in a while (because i dont have a setup that can run it) I'm actually hyped to play it again (as I'm getting a good one for college), it looks like the game has actually IMPROVED compared to back when i was playing (thunderbird launch).
honestly i played less and less because of the amount of time i need to keep playing the game to maintain a certain kind of skills to enjoy the game without people being toxic about it. the player base are not forgiving and toxic about mistakes and people in siege don't like to experiment different tactics. it's like doing crossfit except community is the exact opposite here.
I quitted R6 not because of cheaters but because my mistrust went too far. Maybe other players are just better sometimes but checking the R6 tracker before every match or watching the recording after a game to make sure that no one cheated just makes me tired. The emotional draining is just too high.I really love the core game of R6 but the state of the game just drained me. As I said there is no trust in other players anymore. Also the toxicty is taking over. I deactivated the ingame chat as it went way too toxic even in standard.
From my experience playing Siege alone is not fun. Not enough players are willing to be experimental nor they’re willing to do operator combos. If I’m not mistaken, on console you’re more at risk of losing in a rank match because your teammates wants to lose on purpose, (not doing Siege basics, no communication, not watching flank cams, tk-ing / toxic friendly firing, holding the game hostage etc), just as much as theres cheating on PC. And even if they did communicate they’ll just be toxic instead of making call outs. It’s even almost impossible to meet nice high level players. I was tk-ed by a squad of Diamonds just simply because my rank was low. They didn’t care about winning as long as they had fun torturing my efforts. In other matches it didn’t help either when players are telling each other to “get k(s)” when it’s not enough to objectively win. My brother couldn’t escape from some aspect of it either, gave up playing Siege for real, and created a smurf account just to punish players who he feels that doesn’t want to win. Despite the reputation system being finalized nobody on console is safe.
My biggest problem is the matchmaking. Me and my friends are casuals at best so they take some longer breaks than me sometimes longer than 2 months. Then when we all queue together none of us have been higher than Gold 1 and all of the other team are minimum diamond it’s ridiculous. But I do agree with other points in the video

Siege is stale for me because every time I wanna play Ranked, the only two maps everyone wants to play are either Oregon or Club House. Don’t get me wrong they are good maps but I think if there was a feature that makes it so that you can’t play the same map back to back that could add more variety and it would force others to learn different maps. If that’s too extreme then perhaps make it so you can’t play the same map 3 times in a row. Perhaps others would realize that Nighthaven and Lair are actually very good maps as well lol
I had to get rid of my PC, and lately I have been playing Overwatch 2, because it is free on Xbox and doesn't require Xbox live. When I get a PC, I'm honestly too lazy to figure out activating Windows, so i just want to use Linux. Can't play Siege on Linux. Can play Overwatch 2. OW2 has lots of problems like 5v5 and balancing, but cheating doesn't seem to be a problem at all and that's made it more fun and accessible for me than basically every other online FPS on the market. Love siege but its the same story every time me and my friends que up. Win 2 games then play cheaters, we use match replay so much this season to double check and play less and less every week. The actual game really is my favorite FPS those 2 games are always fun not because we won but because we got to play normal Siege.
Even if they were going to add content slowly like they are now it would be fine but the problem is they keep nerfing and ruining operators with each update literally making the game worse with each update

Me and my friend quit because of hackers in every. I mean every game. UBI only cares about achieving more DEI goals and skins not the hacker situation. Also, add hostage to ranked. Would spice things up.
For me I really didn't like the recoil nerf, it's like the worst thing fps gane can do. I don't play siege all the time for years so my recoil control is not the best but for years I know I can just go back into the game and be somewhat decent because the recoil never change, I already have that muscle memories built in. But now not only have to re-learn the recoil, I also need to forgot my muscle memories.
I haven’t been playing much of New Blood for its lack of new content and removing old recruit. I do hop on when people are playing, and I still enjoy the game a lot still. But I have been playing other stuff like the Splinter Cell games, and I’ve been having a blast with that series and other single player/co-op games. Here’s to hoping Season 3 puts us in the, ‘We’re so back!’ phase.
I took a break ever since the new season started. I only recently started playing again two days ago. We’re copper rank so it’s pretty fun to play without cheaters, but damn does it feel so hollow. Siege used to feel fun to climb ranks, but right now I’m just playing ranked and just letting myself let go. I know if I get to higher ranks it’ll just be cheaters, so I’m just riding the wave.
Is it just me or did the ads nerf make gun fights more random and less skillfull for no real good reason, like a gun heavy meta wont be changed by nerfing all the guns in the same way,
ill be honest, as a fan of yours for years, the recent constant uploads of negative views on siege or just siege and general feel really tiring. i stopped watching after the 5th "siege is bad for x" or "siege is dying and here's why" video cause it feels like the same stuff repeated over and over. the operator how-to's, game guides and just gameplay in general were more entertaining. just wanted to give some feedback cause i do love your content, just not this
I'm not sure this is a totally fair critique, as a long time viewer you're aware that this channel lives and dies with siege whether Gwen likes it or not. In addition personally I'm rather tired of people's lack of understanding the correlation between someone who is invested so much care into something while simultaneously bitching about it equally because it's pretty obvious that people act with this dichotomy because the thing (Siege) is worth salvaging. Get rid if map bans! Let's get Votes & Vetoes for what we actually want to play. Add Rematch option again. Reintroduce our old beloved pre-worked Maps; Old Oregon, Old Hereford Base, Old House, Old Kanal, Old Consulate, etc. Old soundtracks, and old ambiance (lighting, contrast, visuals, as an option).
if gun were easy to control the game would be boring af skill issue dude but movement is terrible it so unfair to be a 1 speed mostly with the /new/horizontal grip u get fucked so hard before u even know it

Its the best fps on the market. Still being held back by cheaters. My group of friends all stopped playing because of this alone. We enjoy testing our skills and getting sweaty playing ranked but sadly the frustration of it all got the better of us
For me the big reason I quit was the toxicity not the trash talking that’s whatever it’s omnipresent in gaming but the teamkilling made it miserable if I wanted to spectate a siege game I would watch a streamer bit load into ranked. The final straw was when a 4 stack killed me every round in one game and then I loaded into another game with them where they tried to tk me again but I killed them back then ubi hit me with a weeks ban for toxic behaviour after that I was gone.
The cheaters are my main issues with siege. It might be because my level(239) but it doesnt matter what mode Arcade,events,quick match,standard or ranked. I play against cheaters or people who I strongly think are cheating at a fairly consistent pace. I say strongly think of cheating because I can’t check those peoples stats on R6 Tracker but they do things in the game that borders on cheating. Thank god for the theater mode. Hopefully these anti cheat improvements Ubisoft is supposedly dropping in Year 9 season 4 will be great!
I really love this game I would recommend it to others too. But sometime gotta step back and play more “chilling” games (Stardew, Minecraft) or less competitive game so I can sit back and not be alerted at any moment about footsteps 😂
Ppl never use their mic anymore. Only time is to complain on your teammates. Hint: if u dont give calls u dont get to bitch about the match... Cheaters in ranked and otherwise players play the cod/tdm style which sooo boring. Got no gamebrain but only aim most of the time. Miss how this community used to be but its been broken down by the tiktok generation sadly
I don’t get angry at games anymore. I’ve been numb to anything other than dopamine since I stopped playing clash royale. No game will ever make me as angry as clash royale. I love Siege
