I don’t understand why my TikTok’s get under 100 views if the minimum views are 200. Right away after I post something there’s tons of engagement but then it just stops around 80 views.
I started fishing a few months ago and decided to start a TikTok channel about my journey. It’s basically just a whole bunch of fails and me looking like a dumbass. It picked up and people really seem to like it. I climbed to about 600 followers pretty quick and my videos were getting on average 800 to thousand views on the regular and some up to 5000. I had a video go up to 150k organically. On average about 20% of the viewers watch the entire video. And the average watch time is around 10 to 15 seconds. They were getting reposted a lot too. I really leaned into the fishing community, a ton of fishing folks follow me and vice versa. Then, I think I made a fatal mistake. A video that I thought was going to do really well, I decided to screw with the promote button. Sure, it pumped up the views, but afterwards my videos are now only getting between 200 and 300 views. I have since heard that after you promote a video, TikTok will drop your views because they know you will pay. Is this true?
I don’t understand, my analytics told me that my 50s video has 70-80% people that watch until the end, meaning better watch time, but views are 5x slower than some of my videos that’s only 30-50% people that watch till the end
It’s hard to judge just looking at the numbers because it’s factoring in finish rate with watch time, not to mention engagement, searchability, and other factors. Not to mention what other videos are put out at the same time. If there is low competition in that moment, a worse video could actually perform better. The important thing is to pay attention to what you’re doing in the videos that work. The ideas, hooks, formats, etc. try to replicate those things instead of stressing over why one video didn’t do as well with “better metrics” because that won’t get you anywhere.
Hey Mike I just created my a tik tok about a month ago and my views and likes stopped blooming . What I did was delete that account and I made another one and used the same videos and started getting significantly more views and likes . Now it seems like every time I post my videos are stuck on 0 views or they can only been seen by friends . What’s going on?

This happened to me, me too. I used to get views on the videos I posted but about a month ago, I stopped getting views! I haven't broken any TikTok rules.
I used to make $5-$8k a month on TikTok. Now I make $1k. Videos that are about to go viral get flagged first, then if you appeal, you run a 50-50 coin flip. If they know you're video will go viral, more than likely you wont get it restored. Youll also notice that same video will blow up, but to avoid paying creators they do play this game often. I have 420k followers and have 40+ videos in the tens if millions. I have 400+ posts. I have zero reason to lie, but this is what I go through creating daily content.. Its a nightmare.

I manage a account. I did your 0-1000 strategy and we got to 6k followers in 4weeks. The last post views have dramatically dropped. I’ve gone into the for you and made sure the post are relevant to our niche but it still seems slow.

Since your videos, I really focused my effort on getting that watchtime up, but views dont seem to go along with it. Here are some of my metrics, same account, same niche, same product: VIDEO1 - 10s - 66% Watchtime - 1.600 Views VIDEO2 - 5s - 93% Watchtime - 591 Views VIDEO3 - 5s - 109% Watchtime - 1.177 Views And this while I have friends with 16% Watchtime go viral up to 500k Views, different niche though.
Yes! This is exactly my problem too! I create similiar videos, but some get 200-400 views and some 1000-3000 views. Even tho the videos are almost exactly the same🤷♀️
I’ve been on TikTok for about 2-3 years making like cringe videos and stuff like that but I wanted to do drawing so I did just that. I’ve didn’t get any likes for views for a while. until I said I gotten a new tablet for better drawings. I’ve gotten a sudden 200 views. I was so excited and shocked that I gotten so many. so then I done more for like a 3 months all came up to 200 views per video. But when I decided to draw whatever custom bee who ever commented of what they wanted. I started getting some likes. I was so happy finally for years waiting for this to come. But then I said I was gonna take a break for a little while (cause it was my birthday). then I posted again from a week or so of a (like about three videos) of drawing. All of a sudden I’ve gotten like 5 views and I was at 122 back to 119 like I was before.
Also forgot to put. I made an another account 2 years back I gotten 1000 views the 1200 followers. Like how and it was just a picture of loona reaching to videos. I forgot my password to it so I couldn’t make more videos off of it. But a person did wonder what happened and why the channel just stopped posting. but yeah how in the fuck did I get more views than the one I do one my main channel
I have a tiktok affiliate account. Im having 500+ views on every content that i post each day (3 content per day). Suddenly I had a violation on one of my contents (low quality). After that i switched to organic videos. One of my videos then go viral and reached 3k views, the other two remained 500+ views. After this day. I posted again and I WAS STUCK ON ZERO VIEWS ON ALL OF MY CONTENTS. Do you think im shadow banned? I tried contacting tiktok support but I dont get any replies yet. Ive already done the account check which says my account is in good standing. I dont really know what to do now.
What's weird is I've noticed the videos I post with the least watch time till full has the most views and most product clicks as well as more likes. I'm so confused by this. Some videos only get 200 views while some have 900-5000 views. The ones with the most views have the least watch time
You can’t compare what the analytics look like after a video has already been pushed. Usually a video that gets thousands of views or goes viral had great retention early on (which is why it got pushed) but as it went to broader audiences it started to not perform as well which is why it stopped. So it pulls the metrics down on average.
I switched the topic on my TikTok and deleted all my previous videos. All I have is my new topic videos now, which are only getting around 200 to 400 views. Should I just make a new TikTok? I currently have 5000 followers but they are from my old topic.
This isnt true actually. The reason why people are stuck in 200 views is that is your default view pond. It may be just made up numbers seemingly. 200 cannot be random. It seems to be that it figures that you have a business tied to content, it may lock you out of the greater pool unless you buy the business package. The content free to swim outward will be non-business related. This explains why stupidity flows farther. How can you get 4 likes on a 200 views but also get 30 likes on 200 views. Something is not adding up that everyone is saying the same thing. I believe fundamentally, its either false views or your pool is locked right in the beginning based on AI "profiling" of the creator, not the content.
You’re right that the 200 views is the default view amount, that’s exactly what I said in the video. It’s the sample audience that is shown your video to see how it performs. If you get better watch time than similar videos it gets pushed to more views. If not, it stops. Likes don’t matter (or don’t matter as much) that’s why you can see a ton of likes on a 200 view video - it means people smashed the like button but then swiped past the video without watching it until the end. Watch time is the most important metric.
@@MikeYanda I am going to subscribe and follow your advice. However, A 7 second video should have 100% viewship from beginning to end. I have mainly 10 min videos on channel, so I understand that on the long ones... But a 7 second video meme - fishy.
I'm not sure I completely understand your comment. Very short videos need 100%+ average view duration to get big views. It's a lower percentage the longer the video gets, but it's still pretty high. 10 minute videos are going to have a massive disadvantage on TikTok, save those for RU-vid and the occasional landscape video on Tiktok, but that is going to be tough if it's all you do.@@amnrasellassie

My biggest question: why do my tik toks (clippings of funny moments from my stream(I play dota 2)) get less views than other streamers of the same kind? I would even say that their videos are less interesting than mine and their viewing time should be shorter. Perhaps the videos are being recommended to the wrong people? Although I did everything according to your advice, put a lot of clarifying tags and words, used sounds, but still my maximum was 800 views. And I can definitely say that I don’t overpraise myself or underestimate the quality of other people’s tik toks! I want to say thank you for the advice, the quality of tik tok has improved!
It’s hard to say, but we have to be objective about this - if they’re getting more views it means their videos are better. Study what they are doing and try to emulate it until you learn the winning formula.

Sorry you’re dealing with that. I have no way to give you a definitive answer but 98% of the time that means policy violation. I would recommend reading the community guidelines to try to find out what happened.
I started using a old account 3 months ago and I went from 200 to 60k now and honestly I used to watch Robert Benjamin’s videos he’s helpful but he just says the same things over and over each video, I compare my niche to others in my niche and ik 200 to 60k in 3 months might seem like a lot but the accs im comparing mine too are blowing up way faster then me , i need to learn how to constantly get every other video viral
But what if I had 3.000, 4.000 views in my last 2 TikTok videos but then the following 5 or 6 TikToks went gradually to zero views? My TikToks have no problem, no red notification in their analytics pages. Before this decrement in my visuals, I deleted one video and I started to use the same description and the intro voice lines for all my videos. That's just the unusual things I have done which I suspect destroyed my view rate.
There is a very good chance that using the same description and intro killed your views. That’s the kind of thing that gets videos flagged for unoriginal content which isn’t eligible for the FYP

I make videos in multiple languages, would you say it’s better to niche down multiple accounts (so one account for Spanish) one for Arabic one for Tagalog etc? Or continue posting multiple languages on one account?

I have 297000 followers, did hit 300000 last year bit steadily losing followers every day, not sure why. I have slightly adapted my niche but still within the same realm. Posting consistently, but really low views and engagement. Maybe my content isnt grabbing people enough but it used to. I cant help but think my profile is glitching (it doesnt show up when people search my username) and wonder if i should start a whole new account 😔
Sorry to hear that. You would hate to start over when you have that many followers. My guess is the slight change to your niche just isn’t interesting to your followers. If you have the time I would go back to what you used to do on that account and try the new stuff on a new account to see what happens and make a decision based on the results.
I do anime edit and recommendation, I started like any creator getting 100-500 views, I am still relatively new creator, but I a 13 days from now, my videos started to get about 1500-4500 views, until yesterday my video never exceeded 50 views, I though it wasn't good so I tried my best to make a better video that i stayed almost 5hrs making and post it today and got no more than 40 views. Hey Mike I have an Brazilian account where I post riddles, and I have around 11k followers and two of my videos went viral with one having 3.3M and another with 2.1 and I used to consistently get 20k to 50k views on my other posts. But the real problem is that my phone broke and I had to get a new one and in that timespan I didn’t post for 10 days straight because I couldn’t. When I got my new phone I started to post again but I was barely getting 500 views on my post. Hi I have an account that I recently created so Im new to the Tiktok Content Creation thing and Ive made a couple videos, and every single one got more views that the next one (it went from 600 to 1000 to 1500 to 2100 to even 8500) but I noticed that sometimes when I try to upload a new video it still has 0 views after like 30 mins, now normally I would notice small amounts of immediate engagement. You’re probably going to have to start over. But you can change the name of your current account before starting the new one and that will let you reuse the username

It could be a bug. If it’s happening repeatedly it could be a policy violation. Do your videos with that problem say ineligible for FYP in the analytics

I’m getting more views on RU-vid shorts when my account has more authority on tiktok 85k To RU-vid 8k I’ve been wrongfully flagged for my vids also I’ve moved from Australia back to Canada. I don’t know why my views are so low for the same vids could be an interesting case study
They are just different platforms that prioritize different things. Consider this one difference: TikTok views are shown in the feed with people scrolling and then playing automatically. YT shorts mostly get views from the home feed where you have to click on them. So even the way you grab the attention to get the view is different. One of many differences.

Ive posted 6 more videos since the viral ones and they have not been shown to the FYP and max about 300 views.. Hi, I make 1 min long videos and some get like 20sec watchtime and 12-15% full watched video but they get like 2-10k views and I got one video with 15 sec watchtime and 7% full watched video and it got 950k views I don't understand. It is same lengnt than others and same percentage of likes and comments. And that video was stuck at 8k views and suddendly started going viral 2-3 days ago and now it is at 950k.

I just started and have watched a lot of your videos. I have posted some lifestyle content and it hasn't done the best. I posted some trends as well and I am still only getting about 300 views if that. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
What does the viewer get from your lifestyle content? Those kind of videos can work but it has to bring something to the table beyond just what you’re doing that day when you’re just starting out. That could mean having a fashion theme where you highlight your outfits and purchases through the video. Or it might involve showing off the cool places you travel. There needs to be something that grabs the viewers attention until they get to know you and come back just for you.
I have two accounts, and both of them has started getting 3 views even tho its orginal content and following the guidelines? @@MikeYanda On my 1st account I post valorant highlights that are my own content, and they started out fine getting 700 views avg. with 1 like pr. 20th view. I use AI voice as a talking with text on the screen "How I aced in Radiant". Since this was my first account made, I took down a video that did bad and reposted it which I thought might have been the issue with the views. I let the account be for 14 days without posting but still scrolling fyp etc. (HarambeVAL) My 2nd account has content about valorant aswell, where i match skins, banners etc. Everything is filmed by me and i get all clips custom. I also use AI voice, but the first 13 videos did really good with 700-4k views and tons of engagement. (CombosVL) I've been trying to find out why this happens, and I will try to post another video on my 2nd account again in the next hour to see, if it might have been a one time thing. I havent deleted or reposted anything on my 2nd account. I hope you can help!! thank you

How do I improve watch time if I’m posting like memes, it takes people like 5 seconds to watch and then they scroll? Is there something specific I can do to increase watch time, like put multiple? I couldn’t give you a confident answer on that because it’s not something I do. I would just recommend studying other accounts having success in that niche. Wish I could give you a better answer but I’m not going to BS you with an answer when I don’t have experience with what you’re doing.

I can’t seem to get more than 5k views on vids. The watch time can be 100% and have decent engagement and over 50% watched all through but it never gets more than 5k!
Nothing wrong with 5k! It just means that you’re making good videos, they just aren’t quite as good as your competitors. Best thing you can do is research and level up.

Check out my video about increasing followers. There are a lot of things you can do in your profile to help with that. You definitely need to research other accounts that are similar to yours and study them. You need to experiment and let that research guide you. There's likely a lot of things you can improve if you're that new of an account. But I would actually say you're doing pretty good with that many views compared to followers. Keep working at it and improving and it will click.@@C4_111

How many views do the videos have? If the views are low and that’s happening it means you have policy violations and they aren’t showing your videos on the fyp
Sometimes, finding success in a niche can be tough. It could be due to factors like audience demand, content quality, targeting the wrong audience, lack of promotion, or not adapting to trends. Keep experimenting and learning from your experiences. Don't give up! 😊
This commenter is spot on. I would add that you should spend less time trying to find the best niche and instead pick the one that you know has a lot of interest and you’re also the most excited about creating content for. Then stick with that and improve your content over time.
@@MikeYanda 3/4 videos were “not eligible for the fyp, however I appealed them and so far 2/3 have came back eligible so I’m not quite sure, some people say it takes some time for tiktok to a find an audience to push your post out to 200-300 people, do you know how long that takes?

Find other creators that are posting that type of content in your niche, follow them, optimize your FYP to show those creators, and use it as a research tool to get inspiration.
