Toby, a lot of us believe in bitcoin and the long-term vision of it. However with all this good news like good news after good news after good news…… The price drops. The manipulation and control of bitcoin now is so in your face. I think that’s what most people or worried about. Plus the world is ass backwards in a lot of respects. It just hits harder so much good news and adoption and wells and institutions and nation states and scarcity, and we are still going down.
Miners are selling off at the moment because the "halving" has cut their income dramatically and they have bills to pay.. this is a limited source of selling but has been significant.. many groups and entities are "shorting" BTC which artificially temporarily (weeks to months) suppresses the price.. Germany and Grayscale are selling heavily right onto exchanges (they will run out of selling in the next few months) .. unfortunately these channels only report the buying without explaining the selling .. eventually the people willing to sell will be exhausted of supply and there will be mostly buyers .. when BTC starts to go up it will liquidate the "shorts" and force them to buy at whatever the market demands and then you will see big, fast jumps in price .. until then, for long term investment this is a gift of BTC at bargain prices
Bitcoin has a fixed supply. You either trade in, or trade out of that actual supply. On that level there is no manipulation. People are free to do what they want. If a company offers you something that is not btc or correctly pegged to btc, yet you think it is, that is probably a scam prividing there is deception.
I always keep this channel as a backup when things get rough. Most chart people can't see the forest through the trees. Oddly enough, this channel has been right more than I would have expected.

I think what you are missing is with wall Streeter's now involved or controlling very large amounts of BTC, you are always going to have LEVERAGE players. These people thrive on market manipulation, deception, and yes, criminality. I think BTC is going to range like this until retail, meaning the buyers like you and me are back scooping up what they dump to manipulate. That won't happen until the economies around the world improve.

I suspect the market will not enter a bull phase until after the US presidential election. There is also the Russia/Ukraine war and China/Taiwan issue that could completely mothball any bull market if they escalate. Markets are event driven and we need some major good news to push markets higher ... an end to Russia/Ukraine war would do it.

So far this is my best drawback ever since I have entered this space in 2021. Managed to buy the previous at 62k, sold it at the rebound to 70k, now I have entered at 66k and bought every dip so far at 65k, 64k and 63k I'm waiting for the next movement with a smile and I'm loving it. When the big players had their spot ETF's approved, the BTC price jumped from about $44k to$70k. The owners of these ETF's do NOT want to pay that much! So, while they are topping off their cache, they short BTC futures to drive the price down before they make a big purchase. A thin market = easy manipulation. What's your take on this thesis?

The problem has been that only crypto geek Crypto Twitter has been involved in this altcoin bull market. Not the mainstream retail who would just buy and hold. So until whales deplete the crypto geek capital and excessive enthusiasm, then the price will continue in a sideways range. I think this recent washout has instilled sufficient caution now in altcoin speculators, after burning their fingertips up to the elbows, if not yet up to their armpits.

I think Bitcoin is not as great as many with full bags make it out to be. So obvious Ethereum is a superior option. It does useful things and is a store of value. That's the prize Blackrock wants. This is why Saylor lied and has always lied about Ethereum and the Eth ETF
The dynamics seems to have changed somewhat post the ETFs. Throughout every day I see notices of how much the net flows of the ETFs are. Additionally the SEC actions of the past month have muddied the waters. Ethereum is suddenly a commodity too, or is it? What does that mean for BTC? Will some people will have to lose faith and sell before there is any concerted move to the upside?
I've watched a long time and I'm sure you added a lot of support to Heidi; but, you need to realize what a gifted communicator SHE is ... and let her do it.
What has changed is that the whales manipulate the market even more than before. There are many sophisticated indicators that they can deploy. These guys employ people just to keep analyzing the market and calculate how much volume is required to be able to crash or spike the price. Once the volume is low, whales will move in and do what they have to do. When this happens, ALTs crash even more ignoring their very strong resistance levels (this is pretty weird). People also overleverage themselves not realizing how easy it is to liquidate them when the overall volume is low. Because of this, short-term trading has become pretty hard. HODLers are still ok as long as they bought their coins on low prices. What I hate the most that many of these influencers are misleading viewers with their "analysis", luring them into subscribing via their links. This way they get their commissions and get their clicks so that they can make money even without trading.
Normally I wouldn't care how long BTC crabs along. Thing is conventional markets are getting overheated now. If they collapse before BTC makes another leg up it could cancel the bull run. I suppose on the flip side election years typically finish green so perhaps the markets can sustain this bullish momentum until late in the year. In any case I'm hoping BTC makes that final leg while the going is good.
if you study the BTC cycles so far there have emerged the four seasons,, we are in BTC fall when it chops sideways, but wait for winter when there could be an 80% correction,, a huge opportunity.. then spring with a sideways chop followed by summer where it rockets off.. each season can be hundreds of days... also just wait for the big stock market crash this fall and expect BTC to crash with it..

Why is BTC trading flat? Because everyone wanted ETF’s and now we have them. We have opened the door to fractional BTC trading where institutions now have an unlimited amount of BTC to trade that they have created out of thin air.
