The REAL Reason Why "Video Games Aren't Fun Anymore" 

I agree. It’s all so intense that it sucks away all your enjoyment for the game, and the only things you remember are the bad parts where you feel disconnected and can finally breathe. Having other hobbies is healthy.

Games being online-only nowadays suck, but do you know what sucks even more than that? Games that are or will be delisted from digital storefronts for expired licensing reasons won't be playable anymore because the online-only servers shut down once, or after they're delisted, and the same thing goes for physical and pirated copies as well. Ross Scott (Accursed Farms) recently made a campaign called "Stop Killing Games", where the main goal is stopping publishers from destroying games that aren't getting more live-service support once, or after they're delisted. I highly recommend you to check out the campaign and watch his recent video about it, since Ubisoft shut down The Crew 1's online-only servers on March 31st, 2024, which was eight months and three days before the 10th anniversary on December 2nd, 2024.

I think you hit the nail on the head. A lot of the people who think games are boring think so because they're just burned out on whatever game they spend all their time with, or they don't play anything other than one genre. Gaming, especially PC gaming, has a crap ton of games; both new and old. There's certainly one that is bound to be fun. My issue is that there are *too many* good games and ones I want to play, which usually ends up with me having choice paralysis.
