I grew in the 90s & lived for NFL & NBA but when the WNBA happened I remember being so excited & I used to watch the games with my sister good times that Houston Comets team was a beast

I'm always going to look back on HS and think: "What if things had been different at home?" ... "What if I had done this, or done that?" ... I was never one of the cool kids, but I was on the fringe .. I think ... LOL. Here's to thinking of Sheryl, Earl, Nancy (she was a trainer like me), Denise G, Tina C, Doc, Coach Faught, going to Ozona, school dances, the football program, the basketball program, the band program, getting the McDonalds, driving around the drag, the one movie place, taking trips to Lubbock, and all of the stuff that made us (or at least some of us) want to get out of West Texas. There was some good. There was some bad. I'm just glad Sheryl 'made it' and that I can occasionally see a news clip of her that reminds me: "Oh yeah. I grew up there." LOL

The comets having swoopes and Cynthia Cooper on the same squad was unfair. Like having mike and Kobe on the same team🤦🏽‍♂️ I used to hoop at the Fonde Rec in Houston and they were the first females I saw that were better than men. I’m talkn other pros from NBA to overseas
