Amazing job man

Really interesting. I easily remember the tree in The Railway Children, but heard nothing about the real incident. Wow!

I actually read The Railway Children recently, I got it from a gift shop at the NYMR! Lovely video!

James & the Trouble with Trees is another absolute favorite of mine in S5 which fits well into the RWS like a glove being one of those episodes based on a real incident. This is why David Maidment should be given more recognition for his railway consultant duties on Thomas b/c he actually used to work for British Railways where he took anecdotes from there, even on the Western Region he used to work on. And it's great that Allcroft and Mitton stayed true to Awdry's rule of stories based on actual events. It's a shame that HiT didn't even let Maidment stay railway consultant for the remainder of the show as they and Mattel are more interested in making Thomas a product rather than a real functional railway it is supposed to be in the original.

The landslide scene in The Railway Children is my favourite part of the film. It builds suspense well and has the very elegant ochre Pannier playing a part.
