The Real Story of Luigi's Mansion

I know that this isn't a theory channel, but that's a really good question. Never even went into my mind. If the mansion appeared a few days ago, how was E.Gadd able to study ghosts? As we can see, the ghosts in Luigi's Mansion and Dark Moon are *TOTALLY* different from the ghosts we see normally (boos). But, the Boos along with King Boo was trapped in the trapdoor or what I personally call it, the "underworld." Whoever's reading this is probably confused at where I'm going at here. But, my question for this game is where did these ghosts come from? Was this all an illusion? Why is E.Gadd turning the ghosts into and collecting paintings? Were the ghosts literal paintings before? If so, who unleashed them into the Mario world? E.Gadd? It couldn't be King Boo because, like I said, he and his Boo subjects were trapped under the trapdoor. The only person who not only knows how to work the machine but also *BUILT* it is E.Gadd. Also, in Dark Moon, King Boo broke the dark moon causing the pieces to scatter into different areas. In that game, the ghosts were orignally good. You can even see that in the beginning of the game, the ghosts were helping and cleaning for E.Gadd. But, they gone mad because of what King Boo had done. However, as far as we know, the ghosts in the original LM has always been bad. Was King Boo controlling them? How? His crown? There is alot of unanswered questions in these games.

Everytime I see Luigi cry those tears of joy, knowing mario is alive and ok. And that he overcame his fears and went through hell and back. I genuinely tear up. It's so human and amazing to see such a subtle animation convey such emotional power.

To me, as a kid, personally, the scary thing wasn't the ghosts. It was the thought of which fucking boss would kick my ass all the way back to the beginning of the game. (I didn't have a memory card. Which if I died, I died. I couldn't load a save)
