I honestly still agree, as a whole I think Ghostbusters 2 is more frightening. Gozer and everything in the original are fantastic but I always was more scared of Vigo and the concept of the slime.

If they would’ve fleshed out the final battle more and included minions vigo could control from the slime we would’ve seen a hit!

Wilhelm's voice comes off as unintentionally humorous. But, it leaves one with that wow factor.

I once heard that the girls from TATU who sang "all the things she said" had no idea what they were singing; didn't speak a word of english. They just practiced the lyrics over and over. When he speaks it sounds like he possibly doesn't understand what he's saying. (just my thoughts)

Not surprised. That happens a lot. A lot of Hindi songs have English choruses for reasons I cannot culturally comprehend.

Evan Fowler English is a 2nd language to many in India. As for the English chorus is concerned, I think it's because English is language that can be easily molded in songs, and generally sounds good to the ear. There are a number of people in Iceland and in Scandinavia who choose to sing in English because it sounds better in music than their native language. Not just for marketing reasons.

It's an answer after 3 years but yeah, I agree with you. Whatever we hear in the video, it's without any effects; even Max Von Sydow would have sounded different than with all the audio editing. I get why the actor got out of the room, it's kinda humiliating to discover in front of others your voice was dubbed over. Whatever the movie or actor, you just don't do what they did by not telling him, that's not respectful. They could have told him and explain why they decided to go with a deeper voice. To be honest, I haven't seen the movie in English yet, I grew up with the French version and it was great. I loooooved the french Vigo: Moi, Vigo, le fléau des Carpates, la tristesse de Moldavie te donne des ordres... 😍

@@Indy_21 I've seen different accounts as to weather or not he was told before hand so *shrugs* all i know for sure is that James earl jones was not originally intended to be the voice of vader. They just had to figure something out cause the Scottish dude that was in the suit just didn't have a voice that seemed right to them. Weather he was told about the change or not i'm not sure on.

I think Slavitza knew about it though. They didn't tell poor Wilhelm that Max Von Sydow overdubbed him. I've never heard Slavitza's real voice but Flotsam/Jetsam from Little Mermaid worked perfectly as Gozer's voice.

I'm guessing that's why they didn't bring the team back that did the Vigo set, makeup, etc.? I always wondered as a kid why Vigo looked so different at the end.

Sydow was quite taller than Homburg but I really think it came down to how they looked. Homburg has a much more evil looking face at least to me.
