It's odd but true that Lions do behave that way because they need to identify what is invading their imaginary space called a territory. Anything they instinctively cannot dominate, Lions would have no choice but to leave it be even in its own territory. Add some cubs in play, then that turns around really quickly!
@@drea4pres970 Doesn't your state have wildlife parks? When I was a kid we went to a zoo where they would drive you through whole habitats they made for their animals, they had lions, giraffe, etc... going to see wild lions feels invasive on your part, leave the wild animals alone.
Lion : Are you a prey? Human : No We are a vehicle Lion : Oh I see, understandable 😂😂😂 (Edit: Thank you all for all the likes. This is probably the highest no. Of likes i got in a comment)
Interviewer: why don't you hunt humans on safari vehicles? Lion: I mean, y'all forks with us, we forks with y'all too. You know, king and I was just talking, y'all cool. Y'all fam. 👊
They put the vehicles out in the bush and leave them for a time; so the animals get used to seeing them in their territory. But...you still need to do everything your tour guide tells you. STAY SEATED and BE QUIET!!!!
Yes i have saw people fiddle around and stuff and the lion was getting agitated and charged at them. It was stated that the guide had already told them to stop before the lion charged.
@@ManateeMentality Lion 2: "Safari is great. Everybody loves safari. But how real of a thing is it? We should ask ourselves deep inside instead of blindly coming to conclusions about what it may or may not be."
@@GameAW1 HR and LR had a conference together and discussed what the other felines would think, the smaller cats specifically voiced disgust with Lions attacking their servants they worked so hard to subject so this arrangement was made.
Lions were afraid of humans long before guns. It's not just ranged weapons they fear. They fear the cohesive nature of humans. We're a large pack predator that's basically venomous.
There was that once case where a woman-who loved photography and videography and worked on a lot of films-was attacked when she was snapping photos of another lion from inside the vehicle. The windows at that park are supposed to be rolled up, but I guess her tour guide let her unroll it so she could get better shots.
According to a study published in the Aug. 18 issue of the journal Nature, 871 humans were killed or injured by marauding lions in Tanzania in the past 15 years.
True, I was on a visit to Africa went on a safari tour with photographer/guide, he got me to sit in the chair attached to the outside of the wing of the vehicle, told me not to be afraid or show fear, short time later a pride passed by with the large male close enough for me to touch (but I didn’t) we briefly made eye contact he then moved on, I don’t think I will ever do it again, no point in pushing your luck.
The safari guide who said it was safe for the newlyweds to pose in front of a rhinoceros which then gored her to death etc etc mistakes happen regularly and experts get it wrong
@@growngrownman5950 What is the purpose of your life if you live it in fear the whole time? Have you really lived if you are just afraid? I am not saying to make stupid risks, but you have to take some risks to have a meaningful life.
I was on safari for the first time in August this year. Although I grew up in uganda, I was very scared of wild animals. I can tell you, it was the best experience of my adult life. No video or photo gives you the feeling of being in nature. We were so close to the animals and saw locals walking past Lions, Buffalo and other animals without being attacked. I will definitely visit other game reserves.
I drove through a lion compound at Westmidlands Safari and a female friend suddenly kept opening the back door of the car for no reason while the lions were just casually walking closely by. I now know that she suffers from a mental depression
How do parents know what a baby is thinking before the baby can talk? If you study practically any animal long enough you will start to understand its habits and practices more. Don't confuse your first time observing something for the first time ANYONE has started observing the same exact thing.
Vehicle: "This is not the food you're looking for." Lion : "This is not the food we're looking for." V: "They can go about their business." L: "They can go about their business." V: "Move along." L: "Move along - move along."
I went on safari in tsavo national park and they told me the same thing…”Whatever you do, do not leave the vehicle because lions think the vehicle is an animal but the moment you exit the vehicle they think you’ve gotten off of your beast and you are now fair game.”
While you're on your not supposed to make eye contact and move around, anything that makes you look like an individual instead of part of one big animal
When I lived in South Africa as a kid, we were told not to open the windows on our vehicle by any means, because there had been cases of lions pulling out humans.
I mean what do you expect 😂 your playing with fire getting even near these beast let alone leaving your window wide open for him to hop in, sure they’re cute to an extent but they’re still a predator at the end of the day, so I’d prefer not to become his lunch in process 😅
They attack people in normal cars it is strange. The lioness that killed that lady. Or the stupid old man who got out of the car to take pictures and was eaten in front of his wife and kids.
What an annoying comment I’ve seen on millions of videos. You must not be knowing about the mount erebus disaster or even the recent Nepal airplane crash.
Lions DO respect the park ranger, which is why they don’t hang out making campfires in the dry season… or the wet season. Never mind! Do what the ranger said.
The theory applies to non-hungry Lions. I've seen a humongous elephant or the tallest giraffe and No Prob... being attacked by either a pride or a solo. Forget that theory.
Lions also perceive trees as part of their natural environment. They also do not hunt trees. But if you climb the tree they would climb up and get you. They could also climb up the vehicle and get you. The real reason why they don't is because the car is actually scary and does not look like natural at all - it roars, it moves but to them it's more like a rock and there usually are more than one human on it. If you were a single man sitting in that open car while not moving you would be dead as soon as they acclimate to the strange object which is a car.
Maybe but if it was such a scary creature to them they wouldn't linger around it. Also, I saw a video of a cheetah getting inside one safari car. It smelled people, stayed for a minute and left.
I went on Safari in the Okavango Delta a few years ago and we had lions within a metre of the open topped vehicle. It was nerve racking at first but you quickly realised they weren’t interested in us. The mokoro was a different experience though. Beautiful being down on the water but difficult to feel comfortable with Nile crocs and hippos everywhere. I guess if it wasn’t relatively safe no one would do it. 🤷🏻♂️
Think of it this way: a small wildcat wouldn’t dare attack a bird that’s perched on top of a Cape buffalo; a large animal that is extremely dangerous when even mildly irritated. But if the bird hops off the buffalo and flies down to the ground, *then* the cat knows it can pounce on it without risk of triggering a buffalo attack.
No I think you are all wrong. Including the guy in the video. Lions view humans as a major threat. They are almost extinct because of humans so it must be true. The only lions that are left alive are the ones that view humans as dangerous. But when humans are on vehicles, they really perceive it as one giant beast. Not a bunch of humans on a magic chariot. But a curious lion can easily figure things out. And making it obvious to the lions is a bad idea. Like standing up and waving or getting out of the vehicle and other dumb ideas.
@@sagnorm1863 Animals have a sense of smell you know. They can tell an organic object from an inorganic one, plus they live long enough to know and see how humans move and operate 🚕
We only see the videos, where at least the memory card has survived (or it was a life stream...) And for most of the videos, even the camera man and not only the memory card has survived, but that's an unproven hypothesis, that this is true for MOST of the videos.
