I’m 50/50 split on this message or feeling. On one hand, I believe that one day the 10 years olds that opened vivid voltage will be 30 years old one day and will want to relive that experience. The part I’m not sure about are the prices for these boxes, and that’s because I think there are significantly more people tucking things away more than 25 years ago. So it’s a question of how much supply will be out there in 20-30 years. I personally keep one of everything i opened sealed so I can relive my own little nostalgia when I’m 50 or 60.
I think these are great points but I feel like it could be offset by all the pack breakers and constant opening of products in general compared to the early years. People weren't opening booster boxes of old sets after their initial release like they do today. Singles might not appreciate like old but sealed seems like it could.
i dont think ill ever spend more than a grand at once on any booster box if i ever really wanted one thats my limit. i definitely wonder who is going to buy all this stuff but i do sell ocassionally and it is very easy to sell fan favorites
We need to remember that our biases aren’t often good indicators of what the market is like. Some rich Saudi Prince might wanna get into Pokémon one day and drop 500m on product. There are also lots of stores and people in general who have more money than they know what to do with that have no problem dropping $50k on something.
I totally agree, but let me flip it around, have you bought anything recently that is really high, base off nostalgia? I don't think I have. I have one Rugrats art cel from the cartoon and this was like 8-9 years ago i bought it.
I am very nostalgic for watching RU-vidrs and Playing Monster Hunter. I don't have much human contact and I may never meet the people Ive grown to watching for years but my sympathies go out to everyone.

Next one for ES should be when BStyles break the $200 point. The mentality of "why would I pay $300+ for a battle styles when ES is $750/800/900" Deep it.
I never said it wouldn’t go higher, but I’m adamant it won’t be a $1000 box this year like many others think. It’ll be a very expensive box 5-10 years from now
