Trying different enviroments is something that helps me a lot now in college. Working in a space where I can visibly see other people working like in a library or even with a few friends boosts my productivity a lot especially in college. obviously, you need to learn how to work by yourself as those things aren't always available but I trained myself to eventually lock in and concentrate by myself.

I completely support the 5 minutes tidy up. Sometimes I am so saturated and already burned out when working at home that just removing dished, cups or thing I am not using helps me clean my mind and reduce my burn out.

Thank you so much for this Ruri, lately I've been feeling so frustrated because I can't just seem to get any task done, I work from home in a small room that's so so packed with things beyond my control, I have no desk, I stay on my bed everyday trying to work, now I know where the problem is coming from and I will make amends.
Finally, I a detailed explanation as to why Im struggling doing my architectural projects. I knew that having a clean and organized workspace would be very efficient in improving work performance but I never knew to what extent until I got to experience the struggle. Having to handle heavy and demanding workloads I never really even bothered to just tidy up my space just because I think its a waste of time and I i can still do my work even with my tools, books, and gadgets are on my desk convincing myself that I can clean this after my work is done. But boy as I was wrong, I never really understood why or maybe Im in just in the state of denial that I have OCD, but after watching this video I finally have someone convince me that what Ive been doing the whole time was unproductive and somehow unhealthy in some aspects. I am grateful for this video and it really has helped me understand and improve my performance and progress in my work in the architecture industry.

I've done a lot of this already. I'd like to add a couple things. Keep your phone in another room when you want to focus. A 15 minute brisk walk is usually about 1 mile for me and it helps me feel better and more focused when I was at the office. Drinking lots of water is also better for your brains functionality. I believe your brain can work 30% better when you're hydrated (don't quote me on that number though I am remember this study on it so...)

One important thing that you forgot to say is that you have to have a job/career that you enjoy. You can clean up your space all day but, if whatever you are focused on isn't keeping you attention or isn't keeping you motivated, then cleaning the workspace will have little to no affect. A new environment can rationally change the paradigm for which we experience the universe-world-personal space. Anyone that has moved homes probably understands the importance of letting go. Ergo, we can bring new things in. To challenge ourselves, grow & evolve under states of resistance. Which can help us stay engaged in participating in life, rather than being an observer of life. Too often humanity is knocked around by societal systems controlled by the majority…defined as ~51%. Old operating systems in a new era, boring humans to tears. Happiness can be found in new innovations, ideas & NEWLY developed operating systems for human living. The old way of doing things no longer applies.

You don't need to know japanese or read books for this advice. Googling how to gain motivation this is a huge thing that pops up as advice a lot. Having a clean and organized room/space motivates one to stay on the right track because in our minds and our values having things clean and tidy is a good thing to us and we want to keep having good things happen. Great video though

Even though I find it interesting that a clean enviroment might help me with focus(I tried it :P), I like to have things on my table that I dont use, but things that calm me down looking at them. Like I have a lil cute own statue, also a lava lamp, and keyboard with rainbow lights that keep moving. I rather this way since I'm living a super high stress and sadning life. And having this things improved my productivity, since its calms my mind Also, I loved the other tips and that monitor D: just subscribed!
I prefer to tidy the desk at the begining of the work. With this, you can easily get first thing quickly done which gives you more positive energy for the start. Even if it's just one swipe to remove the dust
