I always wash mushrooms. Dirt is clinging to them. I want clean mushrooms, not pretty clean. They brown up nicely.

Yes you wash mushrooms. Unless you know exaty where your food comes from, please wash it before consuming. People get e-coli and salmonella from unwashed produce. It's rare, but it happens.

I always squeeze in a little lemon, this dish desperately needed more acidity than just the tang from feta....this is delicious

I think the other reason you don’t need to wash mushrooms is that I read (heard?) commercially grown mushrooms are grown in moss or a mix of bits of wheat and and other edible stuff (which is then pasteurized so bacteria is killed). You can just wipe them down with a paper towel but I like your technique better!

I always wash my mushroom once and pat dry with paper or kitchen towel. Then cut it and saute in a pan

Sis. Its better. To wash Anything u Buy Or. Bring From outside home . A little wash does not harm at all I always wash things whether things r packed or unpacked , packets, containers , Fruits , veggy meat everything .

Mixing the fetas is so key! You've gotta try the feta beforehand to figure out how much tang you like.

You can wipe the mushrooms with a cloth if you dont want to submerge them in water..

You may wash but you may also peel mushrooms. Google what this black stuff is... I wouldnt eat the dish prepared like that. 🤢

If you cant find Macedonian-style feta you could probably use pressed cottage cheese!

Re: mushrooms - you wipe off the dirt with damp wrung-out paper towels.

You must clean mushrooms throughly with water, otherwise you may get sick

My simple recipe is just boil the pasta then melt the butter let it boil a little for the flavor but dont burn the butter add to he pasta stir then crumble in the feta cheese over stir 😋👍 very practical recipe 🤔👍😋 Serve it with the meat dishes 😋You will love it 👍😋

That mushroom "tip" was nonsense. I fully submerge my mushrooms and wash them thoroughly, and they brown just fine.

No thanks. Looks like all the crap that everyone was making except in this version the cook is wearing a hijab, she added mushrooms and the final version still looks wrong!
