Absolutely DE-LIGHT-FUL. Largo Al Factotum is one of my personal favorites from the world of opera. Officer Maklakov's discipline as a person and as an officer is reflected in his singing and stage demeanor. The clarity of the notes, the diction and preciseness of the pitch in presto are impressive. He has quite a stage presence. BRA-VI-SSI-MO! And the ensemble is equally up to the challenge. Breathtaking! This arrangement for solo and choir and russian instrumental ensemble is also fascinating. Is there any arrangement available?
I think having a choir join in makes the song cooler; as if the scene in the story was giving praises to Figaro for being the magnificent Barber of Seville.
Bravo! Excellent Largo Al Factotum. A very interesting mix of musical instruments including a section of accordions and balalikas? But, still a very outstanding and credible rendition. I have seen many versions and this was certainly one worth seeing! It actually works quite well!
Mr. Maklakov è veramente un bel baritono, nella grande tradizione russa, possente in tutti i registri e sicuro e altisonante negli acuti... naturalmente, è magnifico tutto il coro.
