I've watched many air show performances, but Red Arrows always impressed me the best!

Both impressive in there own ways. The Red Arrows are more acrobatic but the blue angels preform more tightly formed formations. You can not compare these two as they appeal to different types of audiences. It is like comparing the army to the navy. Both are apart of the department of defense but preform different tasks.

Though that gap with the Blue Angels was very small and impressive. They really only did one thing and that was in the same formation. The red arrows did much more spectacular and dazzling displays

Comparing the Red Arrows to the Blue Angels is like comparing the Sopranos to the Godfather. They're both enjoyable, so leave it there.

Funny how most comments are based on who is better, kind of like my car is better than your car, seriously, i am British and have massive respect for both. When Britain & America go in to battle together, we go in as one which makes us supreme. Love the USA!

Can't compare them, both teams fly in two EXTREMELY different aircraft with different limitations.

It’s astonishing how close the blue angles perform some of their displays. It’s scary and dangerous but these are the most iconic and most beautiful display teams I have ever seen! I have been a blue angel fan for years now and just repeating the same display is amazing. It’s also very cool how many members are part of the red arrows, same way, more people, more harder to keep control of the display, which is amazing! Also a very fun team of display to watch! *Go Blue Angles and Red Arrows!*

The close formation of the blue angels is unreal!! 😮

Both are outstanding and immensely skilled but I once heard of a Blue Angels pilot say the Brits do things the Americans aren't allowed to because the USN consider some manouvers too dangerous. Both teams are at the top of their game.

As an Aussie pilot (non military) I'll play umpire. My old man was a RAAF Roulette (part time team made up from instructors) and he said the borrowed from the Red Arrows. A guy in the team at the time was USAF on exchange and became a Thunderbird, he said the same. I saw the Blue Angels in Portland and it was awesome watching F/A18s hammering past in low tight fast formations but that was it. Motley Crue and Van Halen blaring in the background because it took a few minutes between each pass to reset. I don't regret seeing it, I just really look forward to seeing the Red Arrows.

Both exceptional, different, but both at the peak of air display greatness. Who is best is subjective on each display.

While I may have some bias to our RAF boys, I think both teams perform exceptionally at what they do. And while this video is on the Blue Angels and the Red Arrows, let's not forget about all the other acrobatic teams (Thunderbirds, Patrouille de France, etc) who all pull off iconic stunts to do the same thing - entertain all us enthusiasts!

Do you know how hard it is to fly 9 jets in perfect formation? no, and neither do the Blue Angels. There's your answer.

You can't compare the Red Arrows to anyone.

What most people dont understand is that theyre both totally different teams with totally different purposes. The Blues are an Air Dominance Display Team (showing capabilities of aircraft), however the Red are an Aerobatics Display team (putting on a show). To everyone saying the Blues or the Red are solely the best, youre wrong and dont know what youre talking about. Both teams have pros and cons. The amount of times weve seen Red Arrows pilots day that the Blue Angels are better and vice versa is astonishing. Debate over.

Personally I think Aerobatics are more challenging for pilots to learn and follow, you see many using the plane sizes but it’s clear those haven’t seen both groups live... both amazing and the best at what they do but they do two different types of displays.

The fact is, the blue angels have flight computers and g suits whereas the read arrows have niether, fly 9 planes only inches apart. Putting that aside I would love to see the blue angels do shows in the uk

Have seen live the Red Arrows (RAF), the Pelicans (RAF Training Command), Card Four (Fleet Air Arm), The Slivers (Belgian Air Force), Patrouille de France (L'Armee de L'Air), and Frecce Tricolori (Italian Air Force). Beginning in the late 1960s. There was also a team of four F104 Starfighters at RAF Mildenhall (when the YC13 and YC14 transports were competing). Possibly the USAF team 'The Starfighters'. All have a different style and brio, most use their own-built aircraft. Cannot decide who was best, but the two teams that the most similarities were the Red Arrows and the Patrouille de France. But that was because both used 9 to 11 aircraft.

All stunts aside, the Blue Angels craft is more beautiful to look at. The Red Arrows can fly just as tight a 4x formation,. But all that pulling away and rolling round between the chemi trails is just nuts. Either fearless or Suicidal impatience!

no point comparing them coz they do complete different things in different aircraft both groups are professionals and world class at what they do.

2020: F/A-18 Hornet >> Hawk T1A Trainer 2021: F/A-18 Super Hornet >>> Hawk T1A Trainer Both teams are the best of best at what they do. Only difference being, one does it in a supersonic fighter jet and the other in a transonic trainer aircraft.

Personally from my point of view from the US side I would say that the blue angels are indeed impressive but I don’t think they can compare to the red arrows

Blue angels by far

Blue angels / thunderbirds are amazing with exceptional skill. They are more suited then the Reds for that awe and awesomeness for fly by's ...However red arrows are much more better at arial display, fly a 9 ship formation, meaning more workload on the polite + more skills to demonstrate as a formation.

Go Red Arrows The Red Arrows manuver was more cooler than the blue angels. I thought blue angels was more cooler than the Red Arrows but it turns out the Red Arrows is way more cooler than the Blue Angels

i am very sorry to say this but red arrows all the way i am proud to be British! the blue angles are really amazing but you cannot compare the red arrows to anyone.

the problem with the blue angles is that 1 there isnt a lot of them by the looks of it, 2 they dont do many high speed sharp manoeuvres like the Red Arrows so it looks kinda bland.

I perfer the red arrows more just bc they are not too fast so u can see them for longer, not as dare devilish, not too close so u can see the smoke seperatly, different color smoke and overall just better.. reply what u think

I think it's the patriotism talking when american guys say the blue angels are better and when the british guys say the red arrows are better. You've got to remember, to completely different aircraft, two completely different types of airshows. The red arrows are performing an airshow that simply looks amazing. Anyone with half a brain will think the same thing: "that's f*ckin cool!". On the other hand, you've got the blue angels. Instead of a lot of aerobatics, they perform death-defying formations. They're literally flying mere feet, even inches from each other. It may not look as cool on a surface level, but it is certainly more dangerous, and therefore, in my opinion, more impressive. (but once again, I've got to admit, it's the patriotism)
