There’s a joke in the “How do you know I’m not Canadian?” line, because Iman is in fact Canadian.

The parts in Pakistan are my favorite part of this series. The history of how India and Pakistan were partitioned was certainly never covered in school for me, so I'm glad when TV can fill in that gap. I also saw a Doctor Who episode with Jodi Whittaker on the subject.

Yes, as a Brit (and therefore from the country which was largely responsible for setting up the conditions that led to Partition) I have complicated feelings about it, trying to accept national responsibility while not taking on personal guilt. The fact it was never covered in school says a lot about us, unfortunately.

it IS emotional isnt it? Not a lot of viewers understand the weight of that scene. The actual history and what it represented. thx you for another great reaction Emme

Such a great reaction to a nice series. One thing that I truly enjoyed about this series was its thoughtful commentary and presentation on cultures and history that is often overlooked and most times dismissed by Western audiences. Can't wait for the next episode!

2:43 I think you misunderstood Emme. Those were all texts from Kamala apologising to Nakia that have gone unanswered. 3:06 Just think of it this way Emme, it's not the same way of saying it as the Vice President's, it's the other way.

Hello Emmenator!😊 You've killed half the season already.😉"Canada Dry" is an old time soda. It has been around for over 100 years. They have 4 distinct seasons in Pakistan, with June being the hottest with an average 88 degrees. Thailand doubled for Pakistan as there was a political situation there when they wanted to film. Great reactions to this well made episode, Emme!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Re: Chinese food being white-washed... one of my sister-in-law's uncles (from Taiwan) visits New York periodically, and one thing he always looks forward to is Chinese food. White-washing of Chinese food is not a thing. The truth is, for all cuisines, there are many styles and recipes, even within the country of origin, because certain ingredients are either hard or easy to get, are either expensive or cheap in that region, etc. Essentially, there are more different styles of Chinese food in NYC than in all of Taiwan because you can get anything in NYC. That's why, for example, if you go to Mexico, every restaurant you go to has an entirely different recipe for Ceviche. So who's to say which one is 'authentic'? So what if the best Chinese food is in New York, according to my sister-in-law's Chinese uncle?

people who look down on so-called "americanized" foods also overlook the fact that most of the adaptation was done by the immigrants themselves. americans of other backgrounds had no opinion at all of, for example, chinese food, until chinese immigrants started selling it.

The weapon you were thinking of is called a mace, or a ‘gadha’ in Hindi. Unsure if it’s the same in Urdu

You are like 80% through Phase 4!! i would love if you could do a ranking of it and/or talk about it and compare it to Phase 1-3 (The Infinity Saga)♥️🙏

Emme I don't know why but I had a dream about you last night, I was driving in my car, and of course it's all in slow motion, and there you were pulled over on the side by a policeman and you seemed upset so I went around the corner and parked because I intended on walking over to you to make sure you were ok but everyone was gone and then the dream was over. It's quite a coincidence that you would be on today:)
