Agreed, Ive got the Isl-28 and through long island and DLW mod parts, I changed the bezel and bezel insert from the stock sub bezel with orange and gray sapphire insert into a LX bezel with a green ceramic insert and it was a very worthwhile mod imo! The seiko LX bezel is a perfect match for the angular case and band that are featured on these watch models. The LX bezel is much more aggressive and rugged/toolly looking compared to the more elegant stylings of the sub bezel. I'd love to see Marc make a switch to using the LX bezels on these models, since just like the upgraded hexxad style bracelet makes a night and day difference to the overall stylings of the watch, so does the LX bezel mod imo! The LX bezel truly completes the look and ties all the aggressive angles of the watch fully together... hopefully its something Marc looks into and considers upgrading these models to using in the future. I liked my isl-28 vary much from the moment i held it in hand but the LX bezel mod is what made me truly fall in love with the watch... just that little bit of spice that was missing and imo with the mod its leaps and bounds ahead of any seiko samurai models that are on the market, including the king samurais (the seiko dial texturing and name recognition still reigns supreme over islanders but other then those two things... I love my modded isl-28 far greater then I ever loved my stock orange samurai i previously owned.... im taking an islanders over seikos all day! absolutely love what Marcs been doing with the brand so far!

I guess unless a Seiko mecaquartz movement was used ( which is very cool) a genuine all mechanical movement would get expensive?I think Seagull make the cheapest chronograph mechanical movements which are known to be good?
