The Regression of Plus Sized Fashion 

I’m not plus sized myself, but I feel like I’ve noticed this too. Like it seems like advocating for more inclusive sizes in brands and body positivity was just another “phase” of the internet. It’s so sad how this happens.

I noticed awhile back that even “plus sized” retailers don’t really seem to care about their customer very much either. The fabrics are mostly synthetic, the craftsmanship is shoddy, the designs are ugly. It’s disheartening.

I've seen the exact opposite happening. There has never been a more varied and inclusive selection available to people than there is now. People who are not happy with what they find in retail stores, regardless of size, should either shop online, start their own inclusive clothing line, or learn to sew. There are fabulous, creative, instructional videos on RU-vid to show us how to do virtually any project we might want to delve into on every skill level. No single group can realistically expect all of society to completely change the way they do business for them.

Retailers don’t want their brand associated with obesity. They lose money because very few consumers aspire to be obese. most consumers aspire to be thin healthy and considered beautiful
