Not many around here like the communist hand that the CPS has been showing over the last years. I went from supporting police through donations and volunteering, to no longer allowing them on my property regardless of if they are there to help or not. I have 0 Criminal record, but I know one thing. CPS, EPS and the RCMP are grossly showing their abuse of power and their ignorant neglect to the good people that pay the taxes that fund their jobs. I'm not anti cop, but i certainly don't want them near me as I don't trust the establishment that hires these blood thirsty pigs.

I've gone out of my way and even taken some risks in helping police in the past but now I'll avoid any possible contact at all and if they need help, don't ask me for it. A friend who is a retired cop said to me that those two women should be fired, but at the very least put back into training. I disagreed with him since what I saw of them there suggests they have a thuggish attitude that is totally wrong for that job and their police careers should end now.

I am here because of that, but the news says he was arrested for refusing to give his name when being given a ticket for playing hockey in violation of Public Health orders.

@@kylacaswell177 the news also tells you there is a pandemic... but science clearly shows otherwise. If you honestly believe this kid should be charged for playing hockey outside in the name of "public health" then I have nothing else to say. This was the most un-Canadian moment I've ever seen.

They had no right to ask him for his name he was not committing any crimes. They also refused to inform him what they were trying to arrest him for which they are legally required to do.

I'm pissed .

Young Ocean Wiesblatt asked questions. Police did not answer. Police were rude, angry, and aggressive. Ocean was the more mature person on that day.

@@enba1594the City of Calgary has stated that skating on ice as long as capacities don't hit is perfectly acceptable. according to the media those capacities never hit so what particular law is being broken. the premier of Alberta has even stated that these social Gatherings are perfectly acceptable as long as they stay within the fire code of 15% capacity. I can send you the articles that the mayor of the City of Calgary and the premier have said this. I guarantee with a Monday update in Alberta they will be talking about this incident and talking about how the cops were out of line. The reason why these cops were out of line is that there was a capacity that never hit making, making no laws broken.

What a disgraceful arrest

I mean, he was placed under arrest by 2 police officers and decided to resist. I’m certain if he would have been cooperative and stepped off the ice he would have went home with out a $1,200 ticket and 2 criminal code charges like the rest of the hockey players. I can appreciate the situation he came from, however we all have to make sacrifices for now what is only a short period of time until things can return to normal. This is a tough lesson for this young man, but he unfortunately got what he deserved.

@@northwest819 Its an unlawful arrest. If it is lawful, then society is heading toward Tyranny. If its lawful to arrest people for playing hockey, then it leads to the greater issues. Its clear, he was asking for clarification, starting to have a conversation with one of the officers, when the other came and attacked him interrupting the convo. disgraceful. Those officers btw, should be off the force, in a real situation with a powerful criminal intending harm, they couldn't defend themelves properly.
