60 quid... steep. I appreciate you purchasing and trying products out for our edification. I have installed a $20 Wireless in my armrest that works fine, just makes phone unusable for maps, etc. So I also use a vent holder that annoys me blocking vent/buttons like you.
Just ordered this. Love the bolt-in clean look and I hate the vent/cd mounts that cover buttons and controls in the center. My phone fits perfectly in the cup holder, but then I don’t have a cup holder lol. And I completely forgot you can run a cable down there for charging. Nice work!
Thank you for making this video! I've been trying to find a good phone mount and they either dont have strong magnets or the placement is horrible, etc. So thank you again. Definitely getting this mount.
not sure if you are running into an issue but on certain days when it is hot or too cold especially, the magnetism is weak. during more sporty driving and cornering, the phone just slips off the magnet
I bought an iOttie wireless car charger that snapped right onto the ball mount. More I’ve got the wireless charging and sturdy clean look. Thanks for the video!!
Installed mine today. Pretty simple BUT I have a Harmon K amp below the head unit; when I snaked a coat hanger through to feed charge cable I snagged a wire bundle. PANIC MODE! Had to drop glove box in order to see issue and clear the snag. Don’t think I caused any damage. Scary. Love the phone mount though. Completely clear of all controls now. SUPER strong magnet.
Much better option. I'm actually not a fan of phone mounts that double as wireless chargers anyways. Constantly "topping up" your phone battery to 100% will actually decrease battery life over time. Much smarter to have a plug in cable ran to the mount like you've done, but only use when needed.
Thank you for this video I think this is the phone mount I'm going with. I like how it looks like its supposed to be there and doesn't attach with glue or tape. :)
Hey, do you know if they have right hand drive versions or is it just a case of turning it upside down and putting it on the left side of the centre console?
I never would have found this phone mount without your video. Thanks! The mount is amazing totally worth the money. Check out ECS tuning to get a better price than direct from Renline
Thic F30 ohhh kk thx for replying. Ya, I have the dgtal wireless charging mount that you had from amazon and it doesn’t seem like the magnet is very strong at all
I don’t want to sound negative as I do like your videos! And you have some really good content. It’s just that I had to skip 7 minutes of video before you actually did anything, and I feel like most of your install videos have way to much talking throughout. Just my opinion,
I have a question regarding the cigarette lighter underneath the glovebox on the passenger, as I have the place but I actually don’t have the lighter plug socket. Can you please guide if how I can install one.
You can use the socket in the back just put a plug that haves 2 USB in it for the passengers in the back, but that plug needs to have a cable that have 2 more USB sockets at the end, and run that thru the trim to the side of passenger seat then you can click the 2 USB ports on the trim so you don't actually see it as and from there you got 2 USB in the front
I don't know man that's why I told u this way you probbably gonna drill a whole to fit a socket in then connect that socket you put in to a socket already in the car are you sure you don't have one because everybody normally has one
Might be worth a shot! The reason it’s weak is because the magnet is just around the perimeter to allow for the charging unit to fit on the inside. At least that’s my guess
@@ThicWhips I'll keep you posted. If I break it I'll just buy the one you got. Im past my amazon return date for this thing... or ill contact the manufacture. You forgot to talk about the plate that it uses... Do you loose wireless charging or does it not need a metal plate in the case, I guess if it does you could put it closer to the bottom of the phone.
