This is such good advice… other advantages for niching down …. Faster sourcing… only go to look in one place instead of searching the whole charity shop, you are an expert so you don’t have to waste time on research, you make template and list them super fast - saves time etc etc etc

I stopped using templates years ago. When you get enough items as your shop grows you can just do a general search for your proposed item title then select 'nearest first'. I found that going into your own active listings and doing a search from there is a bit buggy compared with general public search for some reason. So if I want to list a golf polo shirt size large I can select 'nearest first ' from the search results and then select the one which most closely resembles the one I'm about to list and that way I have less item specifics to change piggy backing on my own listing. Templates are OK but they can only cover a limited range of possibilities ( can't remember how much you are provided with ) and once you have a shop with a great many items each existing listing is a template in itself. Always be sure to delete and update your SKU though because if you forget then you'll have have a 50/50 chance of sending the wrong items if you put your items into non clear poly mailers like I do. The more you niche say it was in t shirts the closer and closer a match you would find piggy backing off your own listings which has great potential.

This is so true! I sold a pair of black pull on trousers last night, had a very similar pair, which sold about 3 hours later. Not coincidence.

Inarguable logic here. If I ran eBay and the algorithm didn't work this way, I'd make sure it did after seeing your video. This American says Neesh 😁 A "nitch" would be like a little built-in display shelf in a wall.😅

Would you say that in order to increase my sales, the best way would be to start creating brand new listing by going to my own sold items, finding similar item and start as “sell similar”? For example: if I want to list a sweater, I go to my sold items, find a sweater and start the listing as “sell similar”.

Hi Peter I just got an item not as described against me because I could only show 1 end of ruler measurements and unhappy buyer showed pictures of her measurements that made my measurements look wrong as she was showing both ends of the ruler. I ask this question because you only show 1 end of the ruler measurements. Anyway I gave buyer full refund and bin the item and then when checking service metrics I add item not as described were did I go wrong Pete?

It must be me as I haven't a clue what you are doing to get sales, how can I make mine sell..
