Can confirm. An ex gf showed this to me 8 years ago. It viscerally creeped her out. I have spent the last 6 months trying to google shit to find it again. Finally……
"All the leaves are off of the oak, and all the sheep have followed the spoken word. I'm coming constantinople, here I come. So I stand here out in the open, all my friends are with you I hope, and pray I'm coming, Constantinople, here I come." this is one of my favorite poems now
@@orbitalbutt6757 Especially since Constantinople is no more, the only way to go to Constantinople is to join the annals of history, pretty simple song but very catchy.
I think the residents decided to private it. “Theory of Obscurity” demands that they stay obscure to create pure art. So if a video gets too many views they may want to private it to stay obscure.
What in the 9 layers of Hell did I just watch?! I don’t know what this is, why it exists, or if it’s even from our dimension. Yet here it is. Now I feel emotions that I didn’t even know exited.
Holy moly! Thank you so much you Primus! for helping me find this song again after many years of it being stuck in my head and not knowing the name of it.
I am a throbbing gristle fan who just listed to mark of the mole and I decided to try and listen to more of the residents I need a moment to process this
There are so many memories behind this song for me. In '81 when punk was at its finest I had a friend who was super into the residents, he ended up lending me his copy of duck stab for me to listen to. The night he lent me the record I had a girl over, not to go into too much detail but things were 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 ;). She told me that she wanted to listen to some music while were, y'know. I had fucked to punk music with her before with good results, so I put on duck stab. Constantinople was the opening track and it was not what we were expecting at all, we laughed at first but the "here I comes" were actually very motivating for me. It ended up being the best sex I've ever had. Me and that girl, we're now married. For our dance, we played Constantinople 21 times, with one "it's not unusual" from the request of my friend John.
"Kitty Fondue, Constantinople Kitty Fondue, Constantinople Kitty Fondue, Constantinople chicken pod chunks .... I am Chunky Constantinople I am Chunky Constantinople I am Chunky Constantinople Kitty Fondunk ...."
