Yeah, the video had a straightforward narrative and the song itself conformed to a pop format (see "Commercial Album" manifesto for details). The Rez makes another winner. ;D
I think this is supposed to represent the teasing Residents' fans endure at the hands of "ogres." Residents cheerleaders like myself are often described as unmusical elitists by people that simply don't like their music.
@TheClarenceter I'm willing to accept the possibility that I might be wrong in my analysis of a music video (and without any kind of substantive rebuttal on your part, conceding that I might be wrong is awfully diplomatic of me), but even if I *am* wrong, your anger is puzzling. Was your village sacked by erroneous video reviewers when you were a kid, or something?
@TheClarenceter Instead of using language found in the dictionary, from this point forward I will only communicate with you using semaphore flags. Because reading hurts, I guess.
I'd combat your baseless denial with one of my own, but this being the internet, you'd probably insist that you were the guy that created the video in the first place, and I'd have no way to prove otherwise. So, I lose either way!
lol bro I was like 5 when I made that comment. Haven't been into the Residents in years, although I think I would still enjoy some of their stuff. Eskimo, and Mark of the Mole, perhaps. But, alas, I lost most of my former adoration.
