This is why Ibrahim deserved to be punished, as the highest in Suleiman's office his only loyalty is to the sultan. When he covered for Mahi, he commitment treasonous act. Also if Valide sultan had been managing the harem properly and not shown favoritism, as well as tought her daughters that their loyalty is always with their brother all this strife could have been avoided.
