After literal years I finally understood that Colonel Gentlemen was talking about Dr. Quimm when he punches Rusty out and says "That's for breaking my stepdaughter's heart".
@@Sirharryflash82Action Man was on a ton of drugs to make him more violent. I don't think be fully realized how insane a lot of the Venture stuff was, including Gentleman, until years later
Keep in mind, for all that they did to him, it's implied to be due to incompetence in child rearing and such, this is the first time any of them have just straight up attacked Rusty.
@@carlycrays2831 they showed it with Sgt. Hatred, that super soldier serum gives people mental illnesses and extremely violent tendencies. Jonas probably hopped the action man up on those Compared to his old self, action man is probably one of the nicest venturers. Kinda like Kano
James Whittle actually out of all of them, Kano’s apparently the one closest to Brock in skill. Were he still in his prime, he could theoretically take Brock on and win

This scene is proof that Col. Gentleman is THE most badass character in The Venture Bros. If any other character had sucker punched Dr. Venture like that, Brock would've strangled them with their own colon.

+V Guyver you gotta make all normal s and z sounds into shh and zhh sounds. Then you gotta roll your r's anytime it comes up in a word. Lastly, pepper your dialogue with a lot of words like wee and laddie.
Makes me wonder if there's a story yet to be chronicled. Didn't seem like Doc's interaction with Tara Quymn in the jungle really amounted to "breaking her heart".
“A box of mallowmars with a YooHoo chaser put me in a diabetic coma.” Any other show this would be horrifying, Venture Bros. just makes this sound like a Tuesday.
What I dinnae get is that Rusty never broke Dr. Quymn's heart. They got interrupted by a large women who had unrequited feelings towards Quymn who then suffered an epileptic fit. For his countless sins, it was hardly Rusty's fault.
You gotta love how even though Brock took out the entire Team Venture in Season 1 that Gentleman still wasn't afraid to throw down here. Though to be fair, Brock kinda got nerfed after the first season so it would've been interesting to see if Gentleman actually would've been able to hold his own.
Honestly I kinda think he mostly got clever rather than just brutal deaths. Remember when he killed guild goons butt naked? He was more of an animal in the earlier stuff.
Everybody always praises Shore Leave for being such a badass and confident gay man in this show. And While I love Shore Leave, and am super gay for him, I think some of that love should be directed to Colonel Gentleman too (though, granted, his character is definitely less admirable, being essentially an abusive male cougar, if we judge by this clip alone). But still, if we wanna talk about the simultaneous qualities of gay and badass, I see no reason to leave Gentleman out of that race.

I've always wondered if they always intended for this to be what happened to Col Gentlemen when we first saw his "death", or if they really did intend for him to be dead but then later decided it'd be more interesting to have him show up and so wrote this story to explain it lol.
0:01 would that scientists perhaps be a reference to fallout new Vegas’ old world blues? Since they had the voice actor for doc play one of the main characters in that DLC and made a reference to this show?
James Urbaniak was voicing Dr. Venture years before New Vegas came out. Not sure if there is an actual connection between the two, though that would have been great. More likely they just hired him as a voice actor to play a scientist and people recognized his distinct voice.
You know why I love Colonel Gentlemen ? Cuz they usualy portray gay characters ( I know he's not exactly gay but that's beyond the point ), in an extremely overcompensating way. They make them look like perfect and extremely caring of one another to show us how ''they can be a REAL couple too'' Well, none of that shit in this show, characters here are human, and that means they are flawed as fuck !. Just like human characters should be ! .
That scene where Colonel Gentleman punching Rusty in the face is what I image Quincy Jones would do to John Lasseter after what John did to Rashida Jones.
Oddly, it seems like Jonas and Gentleman weren't just the worst, but the leaders of the group. Kano and Action Man and the others probably could have been better heroes without them
