Superman is pissed because the release of Doomsday clock is taking forever

Remember what Manhattan said at the end of The Button. We're all puppets, I'm just a puppet who can see the strings.

Dr. Manhattan coming in like "I can perceive the past, present, and future at once. I can dismantle and reassemble atoms. I can teleport anywhere and any when..." And Superman, in 1 month, comes in like "Yeah. But can you punch, though?"

I believe the reason he can't see the future is because right before Superman lands his punch, they're both whisked away to another dimension outside of time by the REAL threat, which is why Dr. Manhattan can't see into the future because he's no longer IN the timeline so that aspect of his power does not work.

i belive this is issue mite have revealed why the new 52 era was so dark, when doctor manhattan altered the dc universe he made sure that the JSA was never founded by altering the outcomes of certain events, such as Alan Scott never getting his Lantern and Battery and dieing, Johnny Thunder never getting his Genie, trapping Jay Garrick in the speed force, he probably had ted grant die the night Flint and Skinner arranged the hit on him with Ted dieing instead of the cop, Wesley Dodds was never given his powers so he is likly killed in action during WW2, and without the JSA there was no example for the Justice League to follow

You failed to realize one thing. Superman has one power that Dr. Manhattan does not have. The Superman Effect. What is that? Basically boils down to is that anything up against Superman. Superman wins. Superman dies. Oh no he came back to life. Superman sees the universe is going to explode. Oh, wait he stopped it from exploding. Superman is dying from some form of Cancer. Nope. He sends himself into the Sun and lives there for 30,000 years and comes back as a Gold Skinned Superman. Dr. Manhattan maybe in the sense of the Universe. Yes, he is vastly powerful and can destroy everything and maybe attempt to rewrite it to some degree. He is not on Superman's level when it comes to that "Superman Effect". The only way to ever see Dr. Manhattan win. Is if the writers at DC sat down and said, "We are going to leave Superman Dead. No, other way. Not bring him back. He. Is. Dead." Boom. That would shatter the whole of the universe. Not even in DC but also in Marvel. As that would be killing off an icon beyond that even Batman could never fill. No, one could fill. Hell, Captain Marvel (Shazam...) could never fill it. DC would literally be killing their biggest name. All to make a point of how powerful Dr. Manhattan is. Though another being would be doubly pissed. Mr. Mxyztptlk...or was it Kltptzyxm .Rm? (Yes, I had to google search his damn name...I curse you, writers. I CURSE YOU!) That would be a battle that would leave everything in the pots. As Mr. Mxyztptlk could have killed Superman many times but he enjoys Superman and treats him as a play buddy or a toy. Than, a threat. Yet being that some blue dude broke his favorite toy. You better believe that we in the real world. We would feel the effects. Though this would be in the context of the universe. Yet in the real world. It all boils down to DC writers just saying as I state. Would they let Superman win? That is what it comes down to. Would they finally and truly officially kill off Superman? And let us face facts. No, no they won't. Superman will win. We all know it.

I like imagining that Dr Manhattan just hears Eiffel 65 blue Constantly and is really depressed because of it.

Rob, think about the aftermath and implications from Superman Reborn and Multiplicity. They went with the idea that each version of Supes across the multiverse was just a piece of the whole thing. If you follow that line of thinking all the way, that means even Prime is just a piece of the real Superman. How many history eraser punches do you think a Superman who's that powerful has in him? All of them. All the history eraser punches.

This series is probably one of the best in the history of all Comics... it surprised the hell out of me in a time when everything is so predictable and so... so... so copy/pasted. Great video!

Pretty sure the jon can travel back in time. He prevented alan scott from being a hero. He had to go back to prevent it. The comedian said who knows where or WHEN jon is. In before watchmen jon goes through many timelines of his past self. Destroys them too so that he will always become manhattan

Spoiler based-guess *Warning* Dr. Manhattan will see Superman as a better version of himself. Who made a better world, He will commit "suicide by Superman". Dr.M will revert nearly to human form, and allow Superman to punch him. Superman will feel guilty in the aftermath. Dr. M and Ozy have been causing havoc with the new 52, Flashpoint, and other incidents, that he wans enraged and prepared to be smash a powerful being. Dr.M will weaken hinself, correct everything that he made wrong, fix Watchmen world, and allow Clark to attack him. Dr. Manhattan is gone.

Superman vs Dr Manhattan is gonna be interesting as a fight. Superman at his upper limit is Superman 1 Million, who is arguable far more powerful than Dr Manhattan. Or they could go the other way and say Superman’s has faced a lot of weapons and attacks that could destroy matter and he survived them. I wonder if the real threat is something from outside the Source Wall and everyone is gonna have to work together to fix it and maybe the fix is gonna be the catalyst for a line wide reboot. Gonna be a hell of a ride, that’s for sure

There is no way this series is going to end in a fistfight. With the power differences, it wouldn't make sense. No, this is going to end by Superman doing "Talk no jutsu" to Mr. Manhattan. Naruto fans will understand that reference.

Dr. Manhattan rewrote the universe with an accidental thought. Superman couldn't even beat Magog without the help of the entire JLA, and they STILL needed to arm up with the most powerful weapons the JLA had collected throughout history. And Supes STILL failed in his role, and had to be saved. If DC retcons Dr. Manhattan just to make Superman capable of landing a punch, I'm burning down their offices.

Doctor Manhattan is possibly my favorite hero in any universe.... Being a thinker of how atomic as well as sub-atomic energies and how they make up and control the universal mechanics, each universe having slightly variations on how they work... He instantly strikes me... Cause to manipulate such energies let alone to have an endless well of knowledge over the entire span of time itself... 💯

Superman is kryptonian. Unlike the X Men, other DC characters, the Avengers, etc they can all be shot, stabbed , hurt, bleed ,and die. But not Superman. He vibrates ( cells) at a different frequency. Manhattan wont easily just vanish him. He probably wont be able to hurt Superman. Kryptonite might actually effect Manhattan too. Ozy, in the Watchmen comic, affected Manhattan by certain frequencies and became weak. There are certain elements, frequencies, or vibrations that effect or weaken Manhattan. Superman very existence, being, cell frequency, whatever, probably affect or weaken Manhattan.

If they have Superman destroy dr. Manhattan somehow, I will hate this comic series
