lmao that's european roads in general. the express ways are well kept, often times because they're privately owned, but most roads are taken care of by the government, so you'll have pot holes getting bigger and bigger until they send someone to patch it, only for it to reopen the second it starts raining again. and then you have the really old roads still on cobblestone. they're usually in places where changing them is literally not an option as it'd cut access to people and cars in the area. the road to my house is like that. it starts as paved, but then it just stops as you go into a very tight road of cobble where one wrong move of the wheel and your mirrors are getting destroyed by a wall. and it can't be paved because it's the only access for cars. people wouldn't be able to go or leave their homes. there's a dirt path that takes you around and lets you leave, but it's half the size of the cobble path, you're not passing there with a car
