I've been using the SK01 with my FiiO K11 since it came out, and it's been amazing. It sits perfectly next to my audio interface on my desk. Everyone always says "use software" but nothing is more convenient than knobs you can adjust instantly on a per song basis.
The SK01 is a clone of the 'Syba Sonic SD-DAC63106 3 Band Tone Control' which I purchased a few years ago branded as the 'inLine AmpEQ'. My OCD made me move it from my desktop to my TV because RCA to 3.5mm adapters. For my desktop setup I got a JDS Labs Subjective3 Tone Control which is RCA in and out, and sounds a wee bit better than than the inLine ampEQ.
That SK01. I LOVE LOVE LOVE knobs that let me just adjust bass and treble on the fly. I know some purists want it all flat and perfect, but to me, experiencing music I love with different qualities boosted or reduced. on the fly, lets me understand new things about what I like about music, and ultimately has helped me figure out what qualities that I want in IEM purchases I have ended up making.
@ZReviews I just got the SK02, but for some reason it doesn't seem to be powered by my phone (Galaxy S24 Ultra) or tablet (Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra) any thoughts?
@@conroyscott2206 The output current of the phone is limited. You can use the USB-C one to two adapter cable, with one end supplying power and the other end connecting to the phone to transmit audio signals.
I’m looking for a good adapter for the rca to 3.5 like was being used in the video. I got the SK02 already and love it, my 01 is on the way, and while I’ll probably use those rightmost the time with a 3.5 to 3.5. But I have integrate it into my schiit stack sometimes (the 01) and would rather not use the 3ft rca to 3.5 I have lol

This is exactly what I was looking for! My Origen Micca G2 randomly died and didn't want to turn on about 6 months ago. That optical pass-through is a godsend.
Was a little distracted I apologize. It's not a gentle Equalization change. It's more Brute Force I was just dazzled by the amount of quality coming out in neutral Positions. You can give a gentle bump here and there you just have to be careful not to nudge it
@@admiralnorman Equalization is so passé says the guy who undoubtedly non-sequiturs Ivana Trump on the regular. Sometimes the tradeoff is well worth it and the quality can range significantly. It's a legitimate question.
New cam? At first I thought it looks more blurry than previous videos but upon checking back, about the same level of detail (comparing like resolutions). Some other things though: motion seems more pronounced and while it doesn't make me nauseous, it does swim to a distracting degree. The other part is that the lighting isn't as warm and makes things look a bit washed out. Not dramatically. Just literally something like one light being different, switched to white instead of natural for instance. Suuuuuper interested in the Fosi stuff. I went from a failing SB G6 to an Epos GSX-1000 (the newer one) and lost some power. Don't care too much about the other functionality but I'd love to get the power back and have a balanced option.
I'm using a FOSI SK01 with my Numark M6 USB DJ Mixer. The headphone output that's built in the mixer is decent but it doesn't have enough power. I'm running rca outs from the Master output on the mixer to the SK01. It's brought back new life to my old Sennheiser HD518's using the tone controls.
Don’t know about the SK-02 unit but the SK-01 has an INTERNAL BATTERY so you can take it to the back yard or the cottage & enjoy some tunes with fewer wires!
I'm glad people are liking the new camera. For me though, it triggers some motion sickness. It's "swimmy" and seems slightly laggy in movement. The old system didn't bother me at all.
I was looking for a headphone dac/amp for tv and gaming use with usb power. Kept looking at the audioengine D1, but this is basically half price (with the coupon), so easy buy.
My first discreet dac/amp was the origen g2 and my first "nice" headphone was the ATH M40x with that really comfy pad swap you recommended too. Shit banged so hard for me for a long time
The new camera setup has much nicer image stabilization and a wider field of view, and do you think could review the Philharmonics New True Mini's? Their measurements seem promising and they only go for $380/p without shipping.

I'm thinking of using this as just volume/tone control, using only line out to another amp for my headphones. Do you think with this setup there will be any distortion? I heard another reviewer saying high volume + bass boosted distorts when using the headphone out directly, but I don't know if line out is affected at all.
I have the Micca OriGen. I have the SK01 and ordered the SK02. I have been using the SK01 most of the time, but with the SK02 having the 4.4mm output, I thought it was necessary to purchase as I have quite a few balanced headphones and especially IEMs.
@ZReviews New to your channel. I have a tech question concerning the Fosi Audio SK01. Fosi's eBay site just sent me an offer to purchase this unit for 60 new. Would I be able to use the Headphone out jack on my FiiO CP13 Cassette Player to the line-in on the SK01 and then use the Line-Out to the Line-In on a portable JBL blueooth speaker? If your not familiar with the cassette player, it only has the headphone jack.
IDK about this one. It's kinda average product. There is little separation of instruments here. FiiO BTR5 sounds better and is even more portable. Or just Schiit Unity. Or just buy a Schiit Magni and use your computer as a DAC.
I just received the shittiest pair of IEM's ever! Some guy on RU-vid named Zeos partnered with another company, made these purple pieces of shit! Omg my ears have never been so happy! Yes, I'm late to the party but better late than never. 😅
