The Return of the Banana: The 56 Chevy two-door conversion is back! 

I think the 2 door conversion turned out especially well on that one, it’s almost like you’ve got it down to a science or something. I don’t why but I even dig the mismatched trim for some reason.

The old ford is mint. I can’t wait for the zip ties collaboration.

Man, I would like to get one, street rod it, keep it yellow add the black and white checker striping on the sides, put the Taxi light on the roof and have "Fastest Rides In Town" on the trunk and sides. Maybe even "Flame" the sides with chrome tipped dual pipes under it with glass packs.

It’s funny to me that you call this 56 the rotten banana, in high school mid 60s , Ft. Lauderdal Florida I went to school with a guy that had a yellow 57 with brown primer spots and we called it the rotten bananas

I wonder if you're missing the value of floor replacement/rust repair/conversion. I think there are probably a lot of guys out there who would pay up for 'rustfree, running driving' even if it's boring. I think that's where your money is. If you can pick up 4-doors cheap, or rustbuckets cheap, BECAUSE you can make them saleable, I think that's where your money is. There are plenty of guys who can swap engines or bolt on turbos, but not many who can replace a floor pan or convert a 4-door.

In light of your changes in life, will a trailer come with the property out of town? Lol

🎉brake hoses need replaced , they have collapsed inside and wont let brake fluid go back thru the opposite way , very common on gm trucks

Dan, I don't know what you have planned for the Chevelle, but have you considered taking the drivetrain out of the '56 and putting it into the Chevelle with the twin turbos? Then you can just put any old small block you have laying around the shop into the '56 and sell it. Or are you going to rebuild the 454 that was in the '66 Biscayne and put it into the Chevelle?

A twin turbo 70 chevelle would be pretty cool. Just saying 😉

But. OH yes. Now I see why the 3-dr Silverado was shunned. Because it had no frame support for the door jamms

JMO but leave it like it is, painting it black would not appeal to me if I was purchasing, create the blower kit as a option they can buy, hearing that motor run would Appeal to me as a buyer. I don't feel your going to get return on investment of you time to do more to it, leave a little meat on the bone for the next guy/women. Hoping letting it all go will bet you the space you need and want, being a hack is funny for a while but I have seen you can do good work, get the building for Storage and prep area and finish area, and a little VGG get you some land to park the projects and parts cars, and invest in some Grainger boots and safety gear for Dannie.
