It's happening all over the place here; not just your ears. It also happened on Matt Beer's mic...and a few times on Sarah's mic. It happens in SO MANY VIDEOS AND IT KILLS ME! Some channels it happens so much that I have to skip videos. Evans MTB Saga, if you're seeing this, your videos are doing worse because of your constant audio clipping. Brands don't want to be associated with something that makes them look bad and these audio issues make them look bad. Imagine if we were staring at some PNW components while we were hearing this constant distorted audio. We wouldn't know why but we'd develop a lesser opinion of those components. It would be because the distortion is irritating and we'd develop a subconscious association between the irritation and the brand. Worst part? Most of these distorted moments are able to be fixed or at least tempered a little if unfixable. Audio guy content: Isotope's RX plugin can help or fix things completely if the audio was recorded clipped/distorted and if it's happening in post-production it can be avoided altogether through good audio mixing - some firm volume compression on the VO sources and some limiting at the very end. If anyone has a RU-vid channel, get Isotope RX to fix the audio problems like clicks, pops, noise, and recorded distortion. And then - after that - learn to mix the audio yourself. Or hire someone to do all of it. I make records full time so I'm not much help - maybe I could be convinced via equipment trade or if someone wanted to hire me full time - but there are loads of audio-for-video pros who can do a job 60% as good as I can and it'll be 1000% better than most mtb videos we see. It sucks because I really love these Pinkbike Weekly Show videos. Christina and Sarah are both great. Henry is great when he's on. Matt's great. Kaz is great. I want these to continue and that is more likely to happen if people are not irritated by bad audio.

I wanted to watch the video, but didn't follow it all the way through because of the audio. I know it's a bit-nit-picky, but there's so much content to watch, already. For a show like this that's mostly just ear content while I'm doing work the noises overpower the content, which, I'm sure is great. Sorry Pinkbike. :(
