Seen him many, many times since he first arrived in the early 80s...incredible, seeing him again here in Minneapolis July 27. he never fails to give $500 worth of music for a 50.00 ticket....a real joy to hear.
I love all of Steve Earle's stuff, but I think this group was really Steve's best band. They were on the Transcendental Blues and Jerusalem album, it was really a top notch 4 piece rock band, and of course brilliant song writing.
I was walkin' down the street In the town where I was born I was movin' to a beat That I'd never felt before So I opened up my eyes And I took a look around I saw it written 'cross the sky The revolution starts now Yeah, the revolution starts now The revolution starts now When you rise above your fear And tear the walls around you down The revolution starts here Where you work and where you play Where you lay your money down What you do and what you say The revolution starts now Yeah the revolution starts now Yeah the revolution starts now In your own backyard In your own hometown So what you doin' standin' around?
He is always at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in October, thought hey have not announced all the acts yet. I expect there will be some CA dates announced around that time. I know there is one for San Diego Oct 9.
@TIMOTHYSAARINEN I think that is a Jerry Jones model guitar. probably a $1,000 guitar, nicer versions of dano style guitars. I own a Dano Baritone, which sounds nice for what it does - but it's not a $2,000 Les Paul or Tele.
