If you guys didn't know, I am a huge Minnesota Vikings fan so I tried to make an NFL video. I hope you like it! All clips and rights belong to the NFL.
In case you guys were wondering, Blair Walsh is, indeed, right-footed, and does in fact make exclusively right-footed kicks. I'm not sure if the announcer made that clear or not. But yeah. Right foot.
Packers gave Mason crosby a chance to rebound, and he rebounded for sure. Poor blair walsch though couldn't rebound... You gotta think the psychological impact missing a playoff game winning kick can have on a guy... man..
SSJ Carl plus the fact that he had made 3 harder kicks in the same exact game. I hit a 51 yarder earlier in the game. I was there it was a very sad drive home to say the least
Can't blame him. So many people were hating him ever since he missed against the Seahawks. All these hate messages can really get to your head. I really feel bad for him. Kickers have a very high pressure job and everyone is so harsh on them
Pretty soon, he'll be hearing that hate again, what with that day he just had against Washington. The good news, he's on the road for the Thursday game in Arizona. The bad news, Seattle has had the worst of luck kicking the ball down there, anyway.
Techsplorer umm what about bridge water Peterson Patterson and others driving down the field and what about the defense holding them to 10 there’s no excuse for missing any possible kick especially a 27 yarder
Tristan Helstrom yeah you say there is no reason to miss that field goal, but there is NO reason for an offense to not score a single touchdown in a full 4 quarters. Wasn’t for Blair Walsh it would’ve been a shutout and wouldn’t have even had a chance to win the game.
Lmfaoooooooooo. Haha good point. Most people are right footed so that makes no sense. He be like “and now kicking, a man of the male gender, who has 2 eyes and 1 mouth”
walsh was secretly playing for the seahawks in his last year on the vikings, but now he seems to be playing for many other teams now that he's on the seahawks. i honestly don't know what team he is on
ROBLOX GOD Same! I watched a post game interviews with one of the seahawks guys (don't remember who) and the interviewer asked him if he thought he'd make the field goal. His response: "Nah, I didn't think he'd make it" Lol bs, everyone, and I mean, everyone was utterly shocked that he missed. What you really expected Walsh at the time to miss a chip shot? Lol, no. As I'd like to say, the Vikings lost that day and nothing more. The Seahawks were handed the win.
Honestly, the loss of one of the best kickers in the NFL is on the Vikings fans. Unlike gotowski and Crosby his fans never stopped giving him shit. Kickers need help to pull through misses like those, and his own fans never gave him a chance
SirStarDazzle I don't really pay too much attention to other teams fans, so I don't know how other fans are, but our fans are fucking ruthless. They complain about everything, and don't let shit go. Not all of them, thank god, but so many of them. However, many of them held on to the fact that he was, on average, a great kicker..until they realized the missed playoff kick messed with his head, and he was missing kicks he should've been making this season. Additionally, it was more than just fans. It was pretty much everyone. The media tore him apart because of how easy that kick was in itself, and how great of a kicker Blair is; lastly, the files would've most likely had the win given Seattle would've had under a minute to get points on the board. But you're right, people mocked him, were unforgiving, and wouldn't let it go. Unfortunately, it's hard to ignore the hate, even if there is some encouraging words out there too.
SirStarDazzle oh fuck you, you'd be pissed at the guy too if he cost you a playoff game which are rare in Minnesota, he had his chance to redeem himself but he kept fucking missing, Seattle will regret their decision when they been him at the end of a big game
Blair walsh isnt that bad... He made countless game winning field goals as you showed, and one bad kick and suddenly hes bad? The game was windy, icy, and the kick was at a difficult angle. If you saw, the wind pushed the kick off to the side, so it wasnt his fault. The angle was as such that only one of the best kickers of all time good make it with the wind and weather like that. Give him some slack, Blair Walsh is actually a good kicker.
A.J. Green I don't think anyone can argue he's bad. However, the missed field goal against the Seahawks totally got it him. He really was doing bad before they got rid of him. He has the ability and skill, but his confidence was plummeting. I loved Blair, and I really do feel bad for him, but I'm glad they got rid of him. Regardless of whether he'll play for the vikes ever again, I hope he gets his mojo back
Yeah, but you should get a better video editor. No offense but the captions aren't great. Also, if you continue making nfl videos, you should make a modification to your name (epic baseball highlights and more or epic baseball and nfl highlights etc).
It wasn't Blair washes fault that it missed in the wildcard the laces were out, the holder let go of the ball too early, and it was one of the coldest games in the NFL so it wasn't his fault that he missed
Cake Bomb He even admitted that he didn't put his leg in all the way through. He knew he kicked it oddly. Additionally, I'm sure more than one factor played into the missed kick.
I was at the Game, it was one of the Coldest games in like NFL history... everyone was excited for the first second, until they realize Blair missed.... Vikings were the better team, but their purple for a reason... (Chokers)
As a Viking fan I tried all season to keep a positive attitude about this guy. I knew that he has done wonders for the team in past years and if it wasn't for him then we would've lost 10 -0 in that playoff game. But it just got to the point where every time he kicked I was prepared for him to miss it.
I wanted Blair to succeed, I was sad to see him go, but it's what had to be done when the games are as close as they were. I hope his career continues and he can rebound.
I think after that critical miss, he never really recovered. All that pressure and self-doubt must've drained him a lot. I really feel bad for him. I hope he does better in the future.
Jacob Bruington yes... it socks so much having the greatest running back of all time, and the best defense in the league... and missing easy kicks... and blowing 5-0 records... (cries)
i remember watching with my dad sad our season was over, then seeing him missing the kick, both of us starting to laugh and celebrate just to find out that we would sign him just so he would ruin our season
I have a horror movie idea Blair Walsh wants his revenge. So he builds a shank, and stabs people in the right the right side of the heart. *Blair Walsh* "He'll shank you wide right"
Preston Olson he only technically costed us one game, the redskins game. The same game where walsh missed a game tying field goal. I don't blame him, pete carroll fucked over the seahawks cuz he tried to go for a fake fg before the 1st half ended and fucked it all up. and plus he rebounded the game after when he went 0/3
Missing an important kick in a playoff game really screws with kickers. I'm a Patriots fan and after Gostkowski (one of the best in the game for a decade) missed the PAT attempt against Denver that ultimately cost us the game he was horrible for a while and it looked like he may be going the same way as Walsh but thankfully it looks like he's gotten past the rut and I hope Walsh can get on another team to achieve that too
Blair Walsh is NOT a good kicker. He may have started as one, but he is no longer. He has no aim, mediocre power. Sad the Seahawks have to have this clown as their kicker
This is why the Vikings franchise is in such a terrible situation. Instead of trying to change their culture and key personnel to make and maintain a winning environment. They SCALEGOAT someone like Bill Walsh. Hopefully he'll be signed to a better franchise in the off season.
Our team is in a very fine spot and we are a winning franchise and our personnel is great, so obviously you don’t know what you are saying. And we didn’t scapegoat Blair Walsh he missed the game winning field goal in the playoffs and then sucked afterwords
When he was doing good he was wearing a pair of mercurial vapor V soccer cleat. but when he was doing bad im assuming he tore up the left cleat for the mercurial vapors so switched to a vapor carbon football cleat for the plantfoot and its alot less comfortable and stiff
It’s funny how kickers are almost never praised for the kicks that they do make but, they’re put on blast for the ones that they don’t make! I know I’m not an nfl kicker so I have no room to talk, but it’s just a point I thought I’d bring up
He’s a good kicker with ruined confidence after he missed the game winner vs Seattle. Then he was cut which totally helped. He’s a good kicker with shattered confidence.
Not a Vikings fan but this makes my dad and kickers field goal kickers have a lot of pressure sometimes like the field goal for the winning game just calm and try your best
