The 2001 World Series was the end of the dynasty to me, what an amazing series but a tough way to lose. Sucks that that was Pauly’s farewell

As bad as 2001 was for Me 2004 collapse against the Redsox was worse.up 3-0 and couldn’t close the deal.

I wouldn't be a baseball fan I don't think if it wasn't for the Big Unit and Arizona. Baseball had been in my peripheral, I liked Junior and Barry Larkin. But man, the 01 world series. My first memory of baseball as an fan. Looking back I really had no say in the matter. I was destined to be a Dbacks fan, Randy Johnson was meant to be my favorite player, and the Yankees were always supposed to be the enemy. My complete heartbreak when we traded Big Unit to New York and had him wearing #41 😭🤣 Dang it Bernie 😅

@@terrondt nothing compares to that 2001… 2004 I could see coming because we didn’t have any pitching. but 2001 just gut wrenching

You really skipped the 2002 series with the angels? The were upset so hard that year by the angels and you just skipped it?
@TheTigersfan20

And 2006, when everyone picked them to win the World Series. Damon, Jeter, ARod, Giambi, Williams, Sheffield…Their lineup was absolutely stacked, then they got mauled by the Tigers in the first round. I don’t know how you skip over that, too, because they were heavy favorites to win it all every year in the mid 2000s, it semee

@@TheTigersfan20 people forget that you need good pitching to complement the good hitting that’s why 2009 happened. We had a really good pitching and a great lineup. That’s why 2004 doesn’t bother me so much… or 2006 for that matter sending Cory out there to try to save our season? You gotta be kidding me

Definitley could tell the guy who made this video is a Yankees fan. You took that “as the Yankees got better the city got better” right from the ESPN 30:30 on the 86 Mets. The crime issue was in the 70s 😂

1995 forever from that time, I have hated the Mariners more than any other team as a Yankees fan. Yes, that very much includes the Red Sox.

Man, you make good videos and yes I’m a Sox fan but your wording of the Zimmer/Pedro incident was pretty unfortunate. Don Zimmer absolutely charged Pedro. Didn’t go out to “give him a hard time”. Granted the Sox were absolutely looking for a fight but don’t paint Zimmer to be a decrepit old man who happened to wag a finger at Pedro and was brutally attacked. Zimmer owned his part of it. Oh, Manny was absolutely looking for a fight, so was Clemens. That pitch wasn’t that close to his head and it wasn’t that far either. Both of them were looking.

12:41 Not a fan of either team, buuuut you failed to acknowledge Zimmer putting his hands on Pedro first, which made Pedro throw him to the ground. 72 year old man should had business doing that. I mean what was he trying to prove by doing that?

Oof. You lost me on “Yankees outbid Red Sox for Arod. “ I let the “Boone injury led to Sox/Yanks both in the market for 3b”comment go but this ultimately means you’ve put 0 effort into researching for this video. FYI It was announced Boston agreed to a deal with Texas Arod for Manny but players association nixed the deal due to Arod having to take a pay cut. Then Boone got hurt, then Yankees completed Arod trade.

Wait a minute... Don Zimmer came running at Pedro. That's why Pedro threw him to the ground. Had it been anyone else besides Zimmer, they would gotten a good swing to the face. But since it was Don Zimmer, who was like 80 years old, he just got a swift toss to the ground and that was the end of it. But yeah, Zimmer probably shouldn't have been charging at someone during a brawl if he didn't want to get thrown down. Oh my bad, he only wanted to give Pedro "A hard time". Yeah if you say so.

how is someone running at someone a justification for assaulting them haha like imagine if an 80 year old came running up to you and you threw him to the ground. you'd probably be arrested and ostracized from polite society. I'm admittedly a Yankees fan but geeze. Pedro used to throw at guy's heads on purpose. Could have killed someone. but running up to him to yell at him is assault? haha
@joshtaylor9884
@joshtaylor9884 7 месяцев назад
@@tohuvavohu if there's a brawl about to take place, and someone angrily charges at you, your first thought is going to be that that person is probably going try and put their hands on you and assault/attack/fight you. People don't generally charge at people only to yell. Even if there wasn't a brawl, in almost any context if someone charges at you angrily, you're not just going to stand there and wait to see what they do. You're going to be ready to defend yourself. To imply otherwise is just dishonest and kinda ridiculous.

Because there are many many more teams thats why Yankees stopped winning. This is easy to figure out. Yakees always won. Then expanded to many teams thats why Yankees didnt win

Because after 1965. The had expanded to many teams. Now they have many many more teams. So that's why they stopped winning all the time . They dominated because no other team could beat them. Now they have lots of teams all over the country. This why they stopped winning This is easy to figure out
