I and my partner are DINKs. We are very happy with our lives. We don't want kids. I have seen my aunts who are childfree and happy at 70. I have seen my uncles struggle to settle their kids and continue to spend heavily on them in his 60s. I have seen neighbors living and dying alone because kids are staying abroad and can only afford to visit 1ce a year. Kids are not a guarantee of happiness and company at old age. It is personal and very situational. Also we don't want kids because we simply don't want them. We want a low responsibility, more time & disposable income life. We simply don't care what happens to the world after we die, it is not our responsibility to worry about the world 50 yrs from today. We want a good life & then just exit this world.

Great respect for following atleast two types of people 1) Happily parents- They are enjoying parenthood, and they make this world better by raising kids in healthy and prosperous ecosystem. In such an ambience, kids when grow up become invalauble assest for not just their parents but also society and country. 2) Happily DINK: It takes consistent courage and great self-awareness to sustain this decision. If they are able to explore purpose of life for themselves and society then they themselves are great assests for everyone.

Telling from personal experience, me and wife both r working corporate jobs with over 10years experience. We have 1 daughter. Extremely hard to maintain a balance between demanding jobs and caring for our daughter. Our work requires long working hours, we have to leave child in daycare due to which she often falls sick and we have to take days off on sudden notice to take care of her. Nobody in the office understands our situation instead bosses taunt about sudden leave notices. Her parents are too old to take care of our daughter and my parents are not interested as they have their own agendas. So mentally it takes a toll on us. Having a child is definitely fulfilling because she means the world to us but it is a lot of hardwork for working couples in todays day and age.

Most females marry and have children primarily to secure the relationship. I am part of Generation Z, and almost all of my friends simply want to live without marriage and without the responsibilities of raising children. If someone claims that children bring happiness, that is really great nonsense; money can provide 99.99% of the happiness one needs.

I don't wanna have kids because I'm not rich. I don't want my future generations to suffer in this world of rich people

Babies are not toys. Having a child should be a conscious decision. Society ya kisi or k pressure me ake bacche nahi karne chahiye. So many kids suffer from neglect and other abuse from their parents and later develop personality disorders due to CPTSD. It takes a village to grow a child. Nowadays no one to support the middleclass parents to take care of kids till they are 8-10 yrs old. Everything is expensive and jobs get a priority since middle class will get pushed to lower class if both are not working.

I got married late. Gave birth to baby after first year of marriage. Would love to have another baby but don't want to go through the pain of giving birth again. Entire nine months of pregnancy were so crucial, gained weight which i have not been able to loose so far, the surgery and then recovery was so painful, had no strength for 6 months post surgery. I want another baby and a sibling for my baby, but don't want to go through the same horrific experience of giving birth.😅😅😅

Rich to karenge na... they have ample monetary resources t manage and keep nurses and maids etc etc. Their parents dont hv to babysit or they dont hv to quit jobs t take care... and their lifestayle isnt affected so they hv... middle class is really struggling... in jobs which r almost like slavery. I am a millenial and honestly this decisions to have kids is very very hard for all of us. Why? The reason is inflation, rising costs of everything and please don't tell me that Modiji sab thik kar denge. I have to struggle for jobs like anything, even though Ive a degree and certifications. Today's reality is that companies aren’t even willling to pay. Even if you have 3-5 years of experience, they will try their best to make you work for peanuts. Setting up your own business or solopreneurship isn't easy either. So, when you don't have a good financial footing, you can't think of having kids. Because at the end of the day you want to provide good things to them as well as you too want to live comfortably.

If couple facing infertility issues, there is no limit to how much money will go into treatment. Not all parents will support financially for infertility treatment and will leave it on couples destiny. And if couple succeeds in making a baby, nobody comes to support new mom and baby. Everything is managed by the couple only. At the end if it couple is financially, emotionally, mentally, physically exhausted...and its a fact of not one but many couples. Baby is the only reason that keeps everything for them going good...❤Things could become better if parents support their children but they will not do i guess. Also school fees for normal nursery school is around 70k to 1.50L yearly in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

Before my daughter's birth I was also not very fond of kids ....but after her birth it's like enormous source of happiness and I want to live long and healthy life for her....something like got purpose of life....now I have to do double hardwork...but all my tiredness will disappear as I see her smiling face....really kids are God's gift to us...this is my experience.

Its easy for a 'man' like you to tell raising kids is not that hard, when in reality its the mother who puts 4 times more effort in raising the child. Very well said… I had a son and I was sure that’s enough.. but during Covid we had some realizations and we had a daughter… now we as parents can’t imagine our life without these kiddos… we are also working parents by the way and enjoy our life at its fullest without any regrets… I am also a believer of YOLO..

I find society around me so toxic, materialistic and money oriented. I don't find any positivity. Quality of life is determined by basic necessities like water, food, air. All of them are polluted and adulterated. Another thing influencing quality of life is education system, I myself not satisfied with education system, because it is just information feeding, making you capable to earn. But doesn't help to cultivate as strong personality, maturity and individuality. When the society itself is so toxic that your own family feels jealous about you earning more money. This toxicity is influencing the mindsets, which is again effecting quality of life. Going for a kid should be because you want to give a better quality of life, not because you want to see kinds as extension of your individuality or just being parent biologicaly.

Most of the time couple prefer love marriage and they become nuclear as girls don't get mental and physical support from in laws...she has to stabilize her relationship at every level either financially or socially. People dont want to get married untill 30 and above. Till then we women loose energy which is required to properly raise a child as couple starts thinking after 2 to 3 yrs of marriage. Fertility issue then arise. Better to get married by near 25 and then bring 2 children in this world. Raise them and the we women can become free to do a job. Its opposite in our houdeholds. Mothers tell their children thst before she is too old , please complete your family. After some time her health and age might not allow her body to help in raising the baby. But children reject outright this suggestion. Also one more issue is very rampant now a days, because of bad eating habits , drinking, sometimes smoking and sitting all day infront of computers for job sake, girls are not that healthy and strong as earlier. I have seen so many girls who become too fat after childbirth that they start having diabetes bp thyroid depression what not which starts during pregnancy but continues even after childbirth which is mostly c section. They lose health and interst both in themselves and their husbands and the child too. I have seen many young women leaving both child and husband shifting to some other city and staying there taking trsnsfers. This too is rampant

My parents started travelling from 1996 when I was 2 years old...... So if you feel that travelling gets stopped after having kids then I would say that myth is debunked...... I am also a software engineer. The youth should be strong for it work and passion. It's not matter that baby's will be hectic. I have two kid's in 33 got married in 26 and not having so much pay scale yet i am happy😂 and their's grand parents are also happy bcoz they have their grand daughter and grand son. Sir i might be wrong but in my opinion the root cause of all evil in any society is unfair and inequal distribution of resources , greed,being ego driven rather than being level headed , denying right to good and respectable life , education etc. Previously despite of women being serving the families were not treated in a respectable and fair manner if not all mostly, this has led to women becoming independent and rightly so. Now to set up families a lot of support from partner, corporates in case of working women, in-laws or own extended family is required which is missing as everyone is self centric and egoistic. Similarly in lower class were never treated in a good way for all the service they did to rich Higher class their right to education good life was denied , now they have fought their way up and rightly so. Parivartan Sankar ka niyam hai and when rather than good sense and humility ego and destructive habits prevail that segment is bound to go down at some point in time. As u rightly said if middle class doesn't get their act right which doesn't seem to be the case they will perish like any other species lol. Also rather than doing jan kalyan if one is able to do self kalyan and do their best in whatever way thet can even if it is as small as doing their job properly is more than enough . So let people be and do what best suits to their situation, everyone doesnt have the luxury of support system to bring up kids and that is fine. North India, especially in Punjab I have seen so many professional colleges are totally closed, reason being demography change, +2, IELTS, abroad and doing NANNY type works with great sense of achievement. What the hell is going. Fortunately, I did my kids below my 30s and living in a family of 4 with full enjoyment and fulfilment. So, youth should try to understand the core meaning of this video.
