Except for the Nazis this was inverted. As the SA was eliminated(or at least neutered)by its client. Then later the SS when Himmler tried to pull a stunt and even though it's client couldn't leave his couple of meter by couple of meter capsule under the Chancellory could still destroy its leaders ability to command the "army" he was head of with a telegram.

This is a great documentary. I have never seen the SS and its atrocities in such detail before. We, as homo-sapiens, need more capable and strong international institutions above all the states to protect human rights. I think we're not there yet.

Want your mind blown? The Waffen SS was THE most racially diverse fighting unit of WWII on any side. They were seen as anti-communist so they had volunteer units from all over the world. One of the groups defending the bunker was an SS platoon from India. That’s part of the story these documentaries never explain. The Nazis were a REACTION to Soviet communism. This didn’t happen in a vacuum. Germans knew millions were being slaughtered and starved in the Soviet Union and there were attempted Soviet revolutions in Germany. Not disconnected communist revolutions, but attempts to establish Soviet states. The communists were also up to their typical subversive BS which creates massive societal upheaval. Germans cheered as their own rights were taken because freedom means little when communists are burning your business and raping your wife in the name of equity. It’s vital people learn the proper lessons because history is replaying itself and we don’t need Nazism OR Marxism

No, it was the Allied powers mistake of not taking the Red Terror threat seriously and ignored Hitler's pleas to end the nonsensical war and bloodshed. He wanted the Allied powers to help defeat the Jewish Bolsheviks in the Soviet Union. But, FDR and Churchill were already surrounded by Jews that were agents of Stalin. FDR appointed many Jews with ties to the Bolsheviks that advised him on all things war and foreign policy which focused only on Soviet Union, which sought America's destruction as well to establish Communism.

Both my great uncles were members of the waffen SS.....I have great uncle Claus Klophensteins hat ....the swastika and skull and cross bones ..I got grat uncle Heidrich's blazer and hat both .....I keep them as perhaps a shame and curse upon my family. I'm getting along in years ....I will own this curse and be cremated by fire with the 2 hats and blazer upon my body ......maybe at least what little I can give back to all those that suffered and died...be cleared by fire. ❤

You never hear of someone in the Fliegerkorps or Geschwader. Everyone is SS, even though they were a very small number.

@@SundaeExpressbecause everyone knows how evil the National Socialists were, how evil their ideology was, and yet people by the millions across the West do not view the left-wing form of totalitarianism in anything like the same way. Lots of people either have no knowledge and understanding of its philosophy and ideology and ignorantly assume that it doesn’t compare to Naz1sm or actually positively embrace it and adopt its worldview and believe in its utopian vision. It’s important to take opportunities to point out to people that the Naz1s had an equal in terms of totalitarian evil, which had an equally misguided and destructive ideology.
