Great song, the days of the true trucker are fading...we're still out there though. 16 years and addicted to it. My dad has driven for 50 years and still rolling, we will see if I can do it that long.
I was 3 months old when this song was released in May 2005. Damn. About 19 years later I'm here listening to this for the first time while driving a 2023 Kenworth W990 in Snowrunner. (Offroad Trucking Game)
This song is awesome, Makes me wish I was still out there, being a road hammer put me through college and feed my family. Godbless all those still out there doing that thing..

Met this the lead singer in a small town called Oshawa Ontario Canada, hes acually Canadian, He signed my Gutair, Hes really cool in person, really down to earth, he also played, he asked me play with him, after, in the recording room at long and mcquaid.
@Eagle12746 trucking is the backbone in Canada to.I drove her roads for the better part of 38 years.I drive a wheelchair now but my back gave out not from trucking but by a bad fall. Thank God for these vidioes though. I can watch and reminess.
In my opinion, my husband was the greatest trucker who ever lived. When I was on the road with him I kept a journal of our adventures together called, "Little Tales from the Big Truck." My inscription for the first volume is: "This book would not exist if not for my husband, Tim - a bona fide trucker who works so hard to keep the big wheels turning." My favorite memory (among many) is of us screaming into Montreal at night with The Stones blasting on the radio. Even in poor health and dying, he still considers himself a trucker. For every woman who ever loved one, you know what this song's about. I choose to remember the fun we had & how breathtakingly sexy he was. 🎉❤🎉
Finally found this song again, been so long since i heard my dad play it when we go on road trip. Just pop up in my mind, and been searching trucker song for this song 😂
who could imagine the road hammers are an award winning canadian country rock band.they definately have a southern rock tinge but two of the members hail from alberta and jason mccoy is from ontario. i think they have disbanded in the last couple of years, but clayton bellamy has a great song on you tube called 'that ain't gonna fly "i thought it would be a hit but did not do much.jason mccoy has been around the canadian country music scene for years but don't know what he has been up to lately.
I love this song, my husband heard it on sirius satalite radio and well I was hooked the first time I heard the song. My husband and I are both truck drivers and well it fits us both well. Thanks for putting the video on youtube. It's Awsome.
These guys rock! I had never heard of them before. Happened to be searching for Paul Thorn's Heart with a 4 wheel drive and found their version on YT. Checked out some other songs of theirs and really like 'em!
40 yrs trucking for me, my girlfriend at the time found this song when it came out. They sing about real life trucking. And man do l miss that girl HolB Jr! A driver may miss his girl.... but he always has the road!
I never liked anything that sounded county till I heard this song on the Bon Cop Bad Cop sound track. It opened my eyes to the Road Hammers, and they rock!
my daddy used to be a road hammer and sometimes i think he misses it being on the open road with the other truckers. my dad alwasy tells us when you are the road always tip your hat up to the man/lady in the trucks :)
You guys need to show more love towards one another! This song was created in appreciation to Truckers! They are very important to society and the economy seeing as much of a country's production and distribution of goods depends on THEM!
This song explains why I love drivin truck. It is a love, hate relationship but in the end I don't think I would want to do anything else. Great song and HAMMER DOWN DRIVERS!!!!!!
someone told me to check this band out and they were right, new country is at an all time low. makes me wish for the days of Shania Twain and billy ray cyrus..
The love of my life Wesley Anderson Asherbranner loved this group. He enjoyed so much listening to them play. Play one for him boys he is laying rubber down the golden roads of heaven. Love you babe.
Without truck drivers people couldnt live what is considered a normal life. They would have to grow everything or travel thousands of miles to get it. Thanks for driving. Keep the shiny side up.
