Yes, Charlie actually drove the band. He didn’t care much about rock music, preferring jazz, but he was the most consummate professional who kept the band on track and added little percussion twists when you didn’t expect them.
I love Steve J in some spots. Look up Sympathy here at Jazzfest, he kills it. I would like a snappier snare and a little more reverence to Charlie, however I flipping love Steve
‘This guy’ is Steve Jordan, one of the best drummers in the world…Charlie told Keith, “if you ever do anything outside the Stones, Steve is your man.” It’s only rock-n-roll buddy!
You can be the biggest Stones fan, but 80-year-old wrinkled guys singing about sex frustration is kind of cringe-worthy. MIck exposing himself at 2:36 doesn't help.
