Love this, thanks for the upload, great to see KR up front doing this excellent song!! Good to see Mick T part of the band again. Hope it happens again, too good a player not to be part of the Stones!
benbeck. Well, given that The Stones defy most known laws, then Mick Taylor joining up for their " 'Diamond Rocks' Anniversary Tour" 2022, remains a possibility!! On a more melancholy note, I really don't like the thought of a World with them not in it! (ps I'm 55yrs old & heard Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Ya Ya's, Sticky Fingers etc, through my eldest brother, at an impressionable age! But I definitely liked it !! )
This comment is for all you throwing shade at Stones for the absence of Mick Taylor as member of the Stones: it was Mick Taylor’s CHOICE to leave the Stones; he was not forced out or fired. HIS CHOICE TO LEAVE. Remember that.
I love them so much. I like to listen Keith. They are both. Mick and Keith in the Olympus . Their lifes enjoy us with his music and teach us what yes and what better never get into. They have pay and they are with us!!! In many ways
I haven't heard the whole concert, but if this was a Mick and Keith song, then they should both be there. As for Mick Taylor not playing a solo on it, well it was Keith's song really. I haven't seen the whole concert, but I'd bet Mick played on one or two other songs and gave great solos. That's what he does and that's why the Stones keep asking him back. In the meantime, I think this might be the first time I've heard this tune. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Slipping away was a Keith solo album song with Mick Taylor who was on all of Keith's solo albums. Good tune. I might be wrong but I think it's a Keith solo album single.
Jack Flash : Pretty sure they held Taylor back because he has the capability to blow all the guitar players off the stage. He has always been an class act.
To play just a rhythm don't invite him,Taylor is a one of the best solo players from sixties. This tour w/ Taylor was wrong, playing Satisfacton on acoustic and things like this.,only the good thing was a Can't You hear me knockin, but Talyor maybe extended a solo to much and that's was his mistake. The boys didn't designed his appearance well, and he also didn't help.It was easy to do the right thing, playing a few songs from Sticky properly.
@@eg4449 yes ALBUM being the key word ,done in a studio with all sorts of effects to make him sound better. This is live and it shows how his voice has gone BUT he's 71 at this time so of course he can't sing like he did when he was 20/30/40 even.
I heard Sinatra live when he was about 76 yrs old. His voice was older and not quite as strong...of course. But he could sing and get the meaning and melody across. Diminished, yes, but still a force. People get old, they change their approach and it comes across differently at each age. Legends are still Legends.
The Stones were wonderful musicians ! But, someone should tell them it is over ! No Stones - tours anymore, please ! That does not mean we dont love you anymore, Stones !
@@chrisrieckmann2445 this was in 2014 and in 2015 they did the Fonda Theater show , which is available on blu-ray, were they did all of Sticky Fingers and sounded better than ever doing it. You don’t have to believe me, go looking for it here on RU-vid. The performance of “Moonlight Mile” was especially sublime. To say that they should stop doing what they love is dumb, particularly when they still sound so good. Accept that you just didn’t like this particular performance of this song and move on.
it would have been great if keith would have let mick put a real solo over this or at least share some riffs...lol,..Keith is still jelous..cant play the riffs..no disrespect
