I have the dvd of this gig, and reckon that the Stones gave one of the best and heartfelt performances to the Cubans with a slimmed down stage setting. Also, the camera work was brilliant especially panning into the crowd. An audience who were truly delighted, full of joy and into the spirit of something really special for them. Much of the repertoire was of Stones classics enabling the crowd to break into song. Love this gig, love the performance and love the Cuban audience. This highlights how the Stones know their demographics and tailors their performance to their audience. Part of the reason for their longevity...knowing what the people want.
Sasha Allen patting Jagger on the a*s engaged the crowd even more than waving a flag. Especially the men. They loved it. Imagine being molested by a beautiful sexy woman.
