Each of them is beyond a Master at their particular instrument of specialty. ( Mick's being his voice, his moves, & HARMONICA! Brian's damn well being _WHATEVER instrument he PICKED UP!_ ) And, most of them are Masters at several OTHER instruments, as well. Just frickin' amazing. These boys blow my mind every time I hear them. ( Starting with when I turned on to them, as a wee 12 year-old! And, I'm _old_ now!)

Mick knows that if you are completely preposterous and sexual and crazy, at some breaking point this will come across as cool. And it won’t embarrass you because you just own it as an entertainer. Mick, Keef and Ron having a blast (in more ways than one) as usual. Actually they look pretty on-point and sober here compared to the Start Me Up video. Even Bill and Charlie are laughing (probably at Mick) but it’s good to see them not taking things seriously and coming up with this classic. Great sax as well. I do love the Stones in the 80’s.

RIP Charlie Watts. He was proof that you didn’t need to be loud or flashy to be a great drummer. Heck, with personalities like Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, he didn’t need to stand out onstage. Here’s a toast 🥂 to the more understated drummers of rock and roll, the Ringo Starrs and Nick Masons of the world, in memory of one of the best at being steady and not flashy behind the kit. And even though the beat Charlie keeps in this song isn’t flashy or over-the-top, it works perfectly with Mick’s vocals. It’s become one of my favorite Stones songs.

I'd disagree :P this song is too dancy, and disco-ey for me for a Stones song lol. I will She's So Cold is pretty decent
@Aquabreeze
@Aquabreeze 11 лет назад
Well, it was a huge success at the time - number 1 album in USA and UK, but it hasn't stood the test of time as a classic for good reason. Despite the strength of the title track and She's So Cold the rest of the album is generally considered quite weak - songs like Send It To Me, Let Me Go, Indian Girl, and Where The Boys All Go can hardly be considered much more than forgettable, and it would be a stretch to call the remaining songs (Dance, Summer Romance, Down In A Hole, and All About You) classics. It's not bad, but not good by Stones' high standards.
