Full head of hair, slim and stylish, moves like he is 20 years younger, voice still strong and his energy never faded at 80 years old. You gotta respect Mick and the Stones. True Icons...
@@stephenedgecock There's absolutely no evidence showing that he's wearing a hairpiece. It's fairly safe to say that that's his real hair. Now the color? Well, that's a different story. That appears to be dyed.
We went to this concert Sunday night and it did not disappoint...80 years old and still rocking....we were in the nose bleeds but somehow ran into an usher who was handing out tickets for upgraded seats...we ended up down in section 109 next to the stage...absolutely amazing and lucky...my 28 year old daughters birthday gift was to the see the Stones....it was fantastic.
Wow, that lady sounds like Tina Tunrer. Stones still got something to give after 60 years! I saw them in Gainesville in 94 at the swamp and thought that they were great at what I thought would be their last tour. Still rocking!!! Un believable.
Congratulations on the upgrade. We received free tickets for the Bridges To Babylon tour hard by the Blues Stage located in the center of the arena. So dang special. To this day, I can see the concert in my brain. Iconic!
Merry because she was born on Christmas Day, presumably. Unfortunately she is no longer with us. Also equally unfortunately she was pregnant when she recorded this about 2:00 in the morning with the Stones. She miscarried that fetus.
"We first came to Texas in 1964.....Geez!! Thats respect, those years, all 60 of them. I first saw them live in 73 when i was only 13, my older brother paid for my ticket and took me with him.. I still thank him every time i see him, 2 or 3 times a year. Were all so lucky we've lived at the same time as The Rolling Stones.
Hand on heart. Who would ever have guessed that the Stones would still be going strong today? I’m 62. If you had told an eighteen year old me that this would be happening, I would have laughed. I thought anyone over fifty was old.
Gimme Shelter Is a Masterpiece Song 🔥 Love 💖 Fantastic performance by The Great Mick Jagger 👑♥️ and Chanel Haynes ✌️ Fantastic First Comcert 💎🌟 Thanks 👌👍💯🇺🇲
I was fortunate enough to see the Rolling Stones at the first gig they ever played in the United States it was at the Swing Auditorium in San Bernardino California. They rocked ass then they're still rocking ass today. The tickets at that first gig were $3.50. We used to see them pretty often. They would come to San Bernardino every 6 months or so and I remember the first time that they played Satisfaction ( it had just come out on the radio) and Keith stepping on the fuzz pedal on the floor ....in those days nobody knew what that was. It was pretty trippy ....anyway God Bless Them!
This was the best performance of the night IMO. This lady really complimented him. Great performance guys. I was sitting up there in the front cheering. 📣
The majority of 80-year-olds I have seen out and about through the years walk with canes, are unsteady on their feet, are fat with big bellies, sit a lot, are slow, have no fashion sense. Yet there's Mick, still srutting around the stage, still in step with the rhythm, has a fashion sense that says, "I'm not 80, but I'm not trying to look 22 either," and is out there with the other Stones putting on a two-hour show. I'm sorry, but that's crazy insane to me. (Incidentally, Mick sounded great here on this "Gimme Shelter" track.) 👍😃
My first Stones concert was November 1, 1981 at The Cotton Bowl in Dallas with The Fabulous Thunderbirds and ZZ Top opening. I was there in Houston for opening night at this gig, too. My God, they are my idols and put on an amazing show -' this video is good but does not pick up the energy that was in that stadium! The Stones gave the sold out crowd a solid performance for 2 solid hours! ALSO - the Denny's afterwards was blasting Stones music and diners were dancing, the hotel was sold out and fans were raving about the concert...and stopping at Buc-ee's on the way back to Dallas and a good fifth of the shoppers were sporting their Stones shirts! Mick, Keith, and Ronnie....THANK YOU! ❤🎉❤🎉
... for those complaining about "them sounding scruffy" ... a quick reminder of "them sounding scruffy" from the very start of their career, and that's exactly what makes them so unique, timeless and fascinating
@@tommyd5238 ... but that's the whole point, most bands are either too clean and boring, or rough but untalented. The Stones instead are masters of clarity in songwriting, structure, riffs and everything ... but on top of that they can express their music in their own way !
Yes rock made in England is good but rhythm n' blues and rock n' Roll this original black American community Keith Richards always to talk... Chuck berry,Ike Turner, muddy waters..
Yanks need to give the British Blues men credit...while you guys were sucking up the raw sounds of Frankie Avalon and Bobby Vinton, they studied every note of Howlin' Wolf. Its called learning without prejudice.
The first time I saw the Stones was in Fr Worth around 1964 or 65. Matinee was in Ft. Worth - night show in Dallas. They played 30 minutes. Brian Jones was in the band and Ian Stweart played keyboards! Content to watch the action on RU-vid now.
Never seen them… always figured I would… a few years ago I realized I may have blown it… this tour is announced and I book Vegas in a heartbeat… can’t wait…🔥
I was Rolling Stones show,s only one time in 1996 in Praga ! It was fantastic show and many beers 🤣 I hope I,ll can see new show in Europe ! Long Live Rolling Stones !
Those Guys did there hole life what they are born for and enjoyed a lot until today and gave us a great music and amazing times, thanks and go on as long as you can
Chanel has a powerful voice. I thought the Stones, and I do love'em, always have, sounded a little tired, but give'em credit, still rocking at 80. I should be so lucky, I am 76.
The stones put on a phenomenal stage performance 🎉🎉. Mick,80yrs old and moves like he's in his 20's!! 60yrs in the music world 🌎 that just says it all🎉🎉.Keith and Ronnie still laying it down and sounding absolutely amazing 🎉🎉. Charlie there will never, ever be no one like you, can't be duplicated 🎉🎉
Always a Stones fan from the 1st concert in 1964 to the next one on May 11, 2023. It's been a long relationship. I still have a 45 of Time Is On My Side.
I thought Gimme Shelter was moving emotionally, Keith and Ronnie had warmed up and the beautiful young lady singer looked great with Mick. Just fabulous guys, well done, good job !!! ❤
I was at NRG that night. I'm decades from retirement, and the way Mick Jagger moves gives me the impression I'll be spending my social security checks on tickets to his shows.
If you've never seen them in concert - GO!!!! Spend the money and go even if you have to sit in the nosebleed section. You won't be sorry and it might be the last time you can. Long live the Rolling Stones!
It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'N' Roll), ein noch längerer Weg den Rock n Roll wuerdig zu bewahren und trotzdem sich neu zu erfinden. Alte erfahrene Säcke. Einfach nur gut. Profis. Gelernt ist gelernt.
Mick's lyrics are as amazing as his showmanship. You can feel the tough streets of London in his writing. "Got to scrape the shit right off your shoes." He's a true poet of our time.
@@Osnosis I did not know this. Mick did add some things to the song according to an interview Keith gave. I had a Keith Richards album and it was good but not quite as good as a Stones release to me. I don't think they get the credit they deserve for their writing and I'm wondering if the reason more artists don't cover their originals is that the Stones' version would be a hard act to follow. By the way, Blue And Lonesome is incredible if you haven't heard it yet. Thanks.
@@jamesmorelandoliver8897 There are several Stones tribute albums; I worked on one that was called Stone Country. Some of their best songs are "country" flavored, although usually with a satirical bent (e.g. Dead Flowers). I love the Stones, but am not into the nostalgia/living relics thing (like Dead & Co.). There are great live bands out there, some of which are "elderly", but still making what I'd call contemporary music (e.g. David Byrne). I'd pay big $ to see/hear the Stones perform without doing a single one of the 18 constants they've been doing since 1990.
@@Osnosis Like "A Girl With Faraway Eyes"! ( not sure that's the exact title but a great song.) I wanted to play that in a band I was in but the lead singer, a female, refused to sing it because she was a staunch Christian and didn't like the lyrics. Ha ha
