@@johngaltjkt62 Jagger/ Richards did not stole any royalties they just don’t give any credit for songwriting. They are very clear and ruthless about it. ( ask B wyman) , Ron wood basically wrote “ it is only rock n roll” and did not get the full credit. The Rolling Stones has never been a full democracy 😂 . He couldn’t not handle the lifestyle and the pressure to be a Stones . A incredibly gifted guitarist but after leaving the band didn’t do anything big .

@@smc9291 Maybe you should turn the volume on next time. Taylor is the one who makes this entire song click. Zero stage presence is what you see with Keef Jr. walking around the stage like some toddler with that animated cadaver of a lead singer. I've been following these guys since the week "Satisfaction" came out. Never thought much about Mick Taylor until I heard his "Leather Jacket" and then saw him play in this video. He's the GOAT.

@@harvey1954 Ridiculous comment. Your comment suggests you are lying when you say you have following them for decades. What's your point in slinging shit at Keef and Mick Jagger? The fact that you are willing to accept this tepid performance by the Stones leftovers tells me you weren't around when the Rolling Stones really were the greatest rock and roll band.

@@harvey1954 I saw them for the first time in Nov, 1969 in Chicago, Chuck Berry opened. They were a favorite band of mine in early high school, probably early 1964.. "I Just Want to Make Love to You" from their first album was the cut that shocked and rocked us back then. "Satisfaction" came out in 1965, was obviously a great hit. I was around and into the Sones while you were in middle school it seems.

I'm sitting here at 67 in the middle of the night and in physical pain....listening to music in headphones as to not disturb my bride. Music jacks me up, so that the damn neuropathy in my legs and feet feel mitigated. Sleep is impossible. This one brought me to tears. So wonderful to see Mick get past his shakiness and hit his stride....as it is a joy to behold when you see it happen in any human endeavor. The tears: for all the memories of loved ones in family and running buddies that died too young and are not with us anymore. Too much mischief made with Stones tunes blaring on 8-tracks in the background. Boy, these old Stones tunes from that era still stand up. A joy to listen to overall. God Bless us all. Mick Taylor once said that the Stones were essentially a glorified pub band and musically quite limited. Here you can see how he easily outshines the other two guitar players, Keef somebody and a bloke who once played with Rod Stewart. ;-) I hope they have paid him the several million £££ they owe him in back royalties. Taylor is a serious blues guitarist and I think he has outgrown ( in all senses, he IS a bit chubby as well ..... ) the Stones who these days are just a glorified tribute act to what they once were circa 1969 to 1974, the Mick Taylor years, in fact.

@@notbraindead7298 I agree it's only fair to give Richards and Jones their due. But Jagger (and I believe even Richards in more recent years) acknowledged that the run of albums with Taylor from '69 to '74 were a peak for them as a band. The success they had after he left was simply not on the same level (with the possible exception of the 'Some Girls' album), and Jagger in particular lamented not having Taylor's particular guitar style to play off of as a foil.

I think the story of mick Taylor setting a childhood goal to play in The Rolling Stones, and achieving that plus contributing to some of the bands most creative work is just inspiring. he is so different from the man who now has his old job, it's almost like a puzzle where you identify which one is different from the others, when you look at him with the band, if you excluded the drummer..

Just saw this for the first time. Without doubt the finest and tightest live performance of this song I have seen, and shows just how much Mick Taylor added to the band. Good to see how they are all a tight-knit group here with nobody trying out-do anyone else, and Charlie keeping everything moving along in perfect time. Aside from MT, Bobby Keys also shines with his sax solo; it's funny to see Ronny gently giving him the word he has gone on for a little too long. We'll never see this classic lineup again. RIP Charlie and Bobby.

It's good Mick is there but I wouldn't call it "tight" at all. Watts seems to be struggling a lot to get control over the widespread orchestra. The harmonies by the gospel singers seem to overwhelm Jagger too. I'm in awe for what they can do in their 70s but ... their 70s performances were truly electrifying.

Bobby Keys is wailing on the sax up in heaven now. Keith outdid himself with the riffs he came up with on this funky tune. And what can I say about Mick Taylor? He's the most melodic lead player the Stones ever had, with his beautifully nuanced phrasing. Not to denigrate Ron Wood, who always rocks strong, with Charlie & Darryl working hard keepin' it all together. Great rendition of this classic Stones' song.

Good to see a former Stone playing alongside his successor Ronnie Wood. Mick Taylor is a great musician, deserves respect for giving them a welcome boost in 1969 after they lost Brian Jones. No one was on the stage yet but there were a couple musicians in the campgrounds jamming. I was he only person that was there at the time. It was a fiddle player, a mandolin player and a guitar player. A banjo player jumped in for a minute. I found out that night that it was Byron Berline, John Hartford, Rodney & Doug Dillard (who played with Chris Hillman of the Byrds and Bernie Leadon later of the Eagles). They played for a few minutes. Byron came over to me and said “Hey kid. We’Re taking a break and having a beer - want one?” I actually had a couple with them. Got all their autographs.
