Hello once again everybody, the uploads go on!
Earl's Court, London, May 22nd, '76, my first upload of the 'Black and Blue' tour, and this is a special one! I dedicate this particular upload to Charlie Watts! It's his birthday today (June 2nd) and this show is for him and all of his fans!
The show itself is not a different show, does not feauture anything in special, but I gotta say, his drumming here is top nocht! This is a soundboard recording (70's soundboard recording, rare stuff; It starts as an audience recording, but after the first minute become SDB until J.J. Flash, in which it becomes audience recording again) and his drum kit is loud and clear! My favourite Charlie era, must say; He's doing great on the Black and Blue album, and tour
Now, for the rest of the Stones (Yes, rest; This is all about Charlie! hahah), the band is in great shape! Mick's voice is very good, despite being hoarsy and sloppy, he delivers great versions of You Can't Always Get What You Want, Star Star and Ain't Too Proud to Beg; Keith's guitar is as loud as Charlie's drums and can be heard through the whole concert, making you notice his abilities as a guitar player! Ron's guitar, on the other hand, is buried on the recording, as Bill's bass, a poor shame, love Bill's live bass lines, and Ron' solos during the 70's were the best!
Enjoy!
*Note: I haven't forgotten about Ron's b-day hahaha; It's my next upload, I'm still trying to find a show where he can be heard loud and clear, as Charlie on this one
