Another Earl's Court '76 show for you guys, this time is the May 25th show! (I've been trying to track down all Earl's shows); But there's only one thing, this is not complete!
During my search to find all of the shows I spotted this bootleg, so I took it, but then I realized it had only 50 minutes of the show, even though there's a complete bootleg which I can't seem to find! (If anybody owns it, I would lovely trade it with you :D)
Anyways, my last upload of the 6 night marathon was the 22nd show, and between those two, I prefer this one very much! Despite being a decent audience recording (Even though you can't hear much of the audience, it sometimes feel like it's a rehearsal), the band is sounding much better! Mick has got it all! He's nailing all the songs and is vocally on fire! One of my favourite shows of him, overall!
The band is also amazing, Keith and Bill are playing their parts just like in studio, and just don't fail! Charlie Watts does some pretty cool fills, and Ollie Brown's percussion add a lot to the sound of the rhythm section; And now, for the biggest star of this show, the one I usually don't compliment live very often, Ron Wood! He's the man in this one, he's nailing ALL solos, and adding many interesting stuff to his playing, one of my favourites of him!
Enjoy
Setlist:
Honky Tonk Women; 3:36 If You Can't Rock Me; 9:19 Hand Of Fate (My favourite live version); 13:16 Hey Negrita; 18:37 Ain't Too Proud To Beg; 22:59 Fool To Cry; 28:12 Hot Stuff (One of my favourite live versions); 32:41 Star Star; 36:56 You Gotta Move; 41:31 Happy; 44:24 Tumbling Dice; 48:41 Brown Sugar

i was there! 17 years olde and the first of many stones concerts i've been to,it was good 'cause they wer'nt ants at a football ground , so it was exciting being close up,they played as a rock band albeit awful, but better than the back ground tapes or somebody playing guitar behind the curtains ,a great night so thanks for this upload

Also there and 17. Queued overnight for tickets. Sensational first Stones gig for me. Packed audience, good wild stuff, people fainting, but massive ambience. Great music, still loving it playing myself and passing it on, including family musicians.

Astounding quality....considering that any other bootlegs of Earl's Court I've heard are lousy....here the mix with the guitars is perfect...we hear both....this tour is phenomenal....love this set list....

It is! Sympathy is not included, only at the cover, because the bootleg added Sympathy from another Earl's date to this one, but it is still an amazing setlist!

Very tight. My favourite period of the Stones is the early Ronnie Wood era. 1975-1981. My second favourite version of Hot Stuff, behind Paris 1976.

Sure thing, a song less is not important! Knebworth '76 is one of my next uploads, you MUST check it, they played 28 songs, it's a gem!

Nice Brown Sugar by Ronnie on this one. That mix of solo and rhythm he used to do with The Faces and which made him a legend in my book. He was a star on his own right. Now he depends on The Stones to be one (plus the money, etc.) I guess one can't have everything....

A little muffled but better sound than I've heard from other sources...pretty good show and performance, though this was from a time when the band was, to say the least, maligned, especially in their home country. The oft-criticized Knebworth show a couple of months later was very good too. Despite the glam-campy style they were aping visually back then, their greatness still comes through.

I'm pretty sure I went to this and it started with "get off my cloud". Billy Preston and Ian Stewart on keyboards. Supporting group the Meters who had to endure an unfair degree of indifference. Big lotus flower stage with reluctant petals. Or have I got the wrong year like a typical arse nugget ?

MR BIG STUFF I was there. Set design and Meters were as described. Not a clue what they played, 44 years later 😧
